"La Antonia Times" has articles about the misleading data and the last minute deals in the days leading up to the vote in Sacramento on Mayor Polloraigoza's takeover of LAUSD. The POls in Sacramento (DUMMYCRATS and the "KENNEDY REPUBLICAN")are afraid to stand up to a legally-questionable Bill that would take control of our schools away from the parents. It is a sad day for education in Los Angeles when our elected leaders put self preservation before the children of Los Angeles. Are they afraid Fabian and Gloria will enact revenge if they don't go along with this hostile takeover ? As a graduate of LAUSD, I have seen the worst and best that this district can offer. Yet, the tactics employ by Polloraigosa border upon the scare tactics employ by sirens on the "Left" that only "Central Goverment Control" wil be the save all to the districts problems. The challenge to all citizens is to confront and demand that we, the voters be the one to decide the faith of our schools.

Time to list Mayor Sam's Sissie City blog down under the gadfly column.

With nothing but pissed off, mono-issue also-rans (more like "did you runs?") offering the commentary and much of the blog dedicated to rah-rah posts about poltical and civic non-entites like Alger (couldn't even get named to the NC review commission!) and "Zuma Dogg" as actual political factors, what was once a rising, edgy blog has become an inside joke.

"Couldn't even get named to the review commission?"... did it ever occur to you that I didn't even try? I received a call from the Mayors office but never sent in the letter for two reasons.

1) With people I know and trust like Jeff Jacoberger, Joe Vitti and Jayson Lyon on the commission I didn't feel I "needed" to be.

2) I had said for months that Commissioners should not be in the Senate leadership. Since I ran for a leadership position I decided my opinions should include myself.

You may continue to attempt, and believe me that is all your doing is attempting, to bring down those who dare to challenge the status quo but you will not succeed.

With strong representation on the Review Commission and Brady and Myself at the helm of the Senate, Ken Draper keeping the pressure on at CityWatch and the Council File Issue coming through I feel pretty comfortable with our positioning.

It's called having a plan, and not having all of your eggs in one basket genius.

No. But we'll get punished for our speaking out with the election of Fabian's buddy Kevin DeLeon to State Assembly.

2:11pm sounds like a CLOWNCIL MEMBER STAFFER. Notice how they blast Mayor Sam yet continue to post here. Go somewhere else idiot.

Zuma Dogg is getting more publicity then the CLOWNCIL MEMBERS these days.

Very scary days in LA when LAPD officers are assaulted with a AK47 from some jerk off. I hope they fry the mothers they caught. latimes.com

Yes, yes, I'm sure the city council is afraid Zuma Dogg and Turtleneck Alger will be the next "power couple" in L.A. politics.

Then they can all ride pink elephants to their wedding ceremony, guarded by hovering black U.N. helicopters.

The "Senate" Pfahhhh... he's even delusional enough to capitalize it. . . like you ONLY do for the U.S. Senate, as if this most SUPREME of all delusional self-sustaining bodies mattered, even a bit in L.A.

(Get real, peeps, NCs send their BIGGEST buffoons to this MOST non-representative body of wannabes to keep them busy on non-essential matters. Many aren't even elected board members). It's the GADFLY Hall of Infamy.

"challenge the status quo??"

Doofus, you WERE the status quo, the increasingly sidelined, near-middle-aged, middle-class white guys who make up single digits on the real population of the city; the so-last-century NIMBY homeowners' groups who can't muster a quorum unless someone's threatening a high -rise in the officers' back yards, AND which NCs were CREATED to sideline BECAUSE they seldom represent anything but scared retirees and pretend politicians.

I'd say "don't make me laugh" but that's about all that these blowhard groups CAN manage anymore. For once (and ONLY once) Lisa Sarno was right about something. People like you do NOT represent your communities, and THE SENATE doesn't even represent the actual NCs.

Hey 5:50pm moron

If you weren't scared shitless, you wouldn't be blogging on here.

Keep showing your fear.

Who the hell is "Mitch" (is that the sing-along guy?), and why does everyone keep saying my creative, acerbic, sarcastic, masterpiece-posts are written by him?

If he works in local government, this "Mitch" can probably, barely, fill out a paragraph with complete sentences.

This is where you wonks fall to pieces. . . thinking there's always only ONE person who thinks you're full of shit, and it's always your main opponent's staffer or mouthpiece.
