Sunday Sermon: Run, Dum-Dum, Run!

Half of the City Council seats -- those in the even-numbered districts -- are up for grabs in the March 2007 primary.

The deadline to file a noticce of intent with the City Clerk is November 11, but you'll want to file with the City Ethics Commission and start raising money before then.

So here's your chance to put your money where your mouth is, to walk the walk and talk the talk, to put up or shut up. To every one of you who gripes about City Hall, and who has all the answers, are you man enough to do something about it? Or are you just going to sit there, keep whining and carping, and justify your inaction by saying you can't win, can't fight City Hall?

Put up or shut up, Dum Dum's. I dare you to run office, instead of just running your mouth. I dare you to take action to improve our city. If you win, great. If you don't, at least you've earned the right to say, "Don't blame me, I ran for office. What did YOU do to make a difference?"

Run, Dum Dum, run!

C'mon the city of LA can do a hell of a lot better then the losers we have on council now. Let's get rid of them. Don't give idiots like Huizar who hasn't done shit a second chance.

Now I've seen it all. In today's paper there is an ad for a 'HOME SHOWE at the covention center and Antonio the mayor is featured as a guest to meet & greet.
ow f---ing low can you go? This is embarrassing beyond words.

Appearing at the Home Show? Isn't that for "C" list talent?

He is the Mayor for ALL of the people, not just the "A" list, but ALL of us.

Give him some respect. He has earned it.

How fucking lame can you be Wacko? You feel like a justified being because you ran a gadfly campaign? You think you have moral superiority over someone who bitches about their councilmember not fixing their potholes? Get off your damn high horse. In fact, there is no high horse, no one thinks you've earned any stripes because you ran a joke campaign for mayor.

Anyone who listens to this fuckhead has already sealed their reputation.

Get rid of the following city council members Zine, Parks, definitely Jose Huizar who hasn't done shit, Reyes,

He's "the Mayor for all people" I'm sure the mayor of New York or even Boston for that matter don't go to the gutter level and appear at a Home Show. That's desperation and major psychological problems people are saying. Why hasn't he had a press conf. on all the kids being killed?

With 19.8% of the eligible voters voting for him he is hardly the mayor of all people.

Anyone predict that he is a one term Mayor?? He smiles, but there is a lot less being accomplished than his smile is leading us to believe.

The LAUSD bill he is promoting will be his downfall because it will probably fail. He could turn it all around if he took a real change of course promoted a breakup of the the LAUSD. Teachers UNIONS will hate him, but the voters and for the most part, teachers will love him.

Oh and then he want to increase the "Trash fees" by almost 154% from $11 per month to $28 to pay for non-trash city services and increase the number of residence per square mile (increase density) this as another attempt to raise revenues.

Nevermind we don't have the landfill resources, water resources (anyone predicting a dry spell in the coming years?), sewage capacity, or traffic solutions to handle hundreds of thousands of new residents in the southland.
