Illegal Aliens In Jail

The Daily News reports that "Sheriff Lee Baca is preparing to testify before a federal panel on the need for adequate funding" by the federal government (i.e., by you and me) for the cost of keeping illegal aliens in jail after they come here and get caught and convicted for committing crimes -- you know, after the initial crime of entering the country illegally. The county, according to figures in the articles, currently receives $118 million in annual reimbursement for the jail expenses from the federal government, and spends another $90 million of our money to keep the illegal aliens in jail, a total of $208 million of your money every year.

You, however, are supposed to believe that immigration is a "federal problem" -- despite the fact that the federal government gets its money from you, and despite L.A.'s adoption of Special Order 40 to ensure ours is a sanctuary city.

Next trip Baca takes is Mexico. Meet with Presidente Fox and ask for adequate funding for cost of illegal aliens in US Jails.

Baca it's Mexico who has to pay not US Taxpayers.

Do you continue to have DINNERS with Vignali Family?

Aren't the illegal immigrants just doing the jobs, or the crimes, Americans won't?

From the CIS:

Even though illegal aliens make little use of welfare, from which they are generally barred, the costs of illegal immigration in terms of government expenditures for education, criminal justice, and emergency medical care are significant. California has estimated that the net cost to the state of providing government services to illegal immigrants approached $3 billion during a single fiscal year. The fact that states must bear the cost of federal failure turns illegal immigration, in effect, into one of the largest unfunded federal mandates.

Not to despair though, our fearless mayor states "there are no illegals here today."

When has LA ever been business friendly? The city has always milked to death the cow of small start-up businesses.
