Open Thread for Your State of the Union Reaction
Cindy Sheehan, the mother of a fallen soldier in Iraq who reinvigorated the anti-war movement, was taken into custody by police in the House gallery Tuesday night just before President Bush's State of the Union address.Police escorted Sheehan from the visitors' gallery above the House chamber after causing a disruption, said a Capitol Police official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because details of the incident were sketchy. CNN reported that Sheehan unleashed an anti-war banner in the House gallery.
Rep. Lynn Woolsey, D-Calif., had invited Sheehan to the address as her guest.
"I'm proud that Cindy's my guest tonight," Woolsey said in an interview before the speech. "She has made a difference in the debate to bring our troops home from Iraq."
Woolsey offered Sheehan a ticket to the speech - Gallery 5, seat 7, row A - earlier Tuesday while Sheehan was attending an "alternative state of the union" press conference by CODEPINK, a group promoting the end of the Iraq war.

how sad that the only hopeful society I think of is one free of Geprge W - in 20 years there will be no pensions, no social security, a huge defiecet - still no medical insurance and a lot of old baby boomers down on skid row. but then of cours the oil companies will still have money in the bank from their record profits - thanks to GEorge W and his side kick 'big Dick'.
So I guess carousing with Communist dictator thugs, trashing the US, condeming Israel for existing gives you the distinguished honor to join the joint session of Congress to hear the State of the Union address. Just who is that piece of crap Congresswoman bitch from the Peoples Republic of Northern California who "invited" her? Those who served in Congress used to have something called "decency".

Sheehan is a disgrace'. Her son must be so ashamed of her. He seemed like an honorable young man.
Question: Why do liberals like to cuss and use foul language some much when they post. Is it because four letter words is as far as their vocabulary extends?
It should be possible to have a civil conversation without resorting to cuss words.
I know that some are going to mock this post (by cussing up a storm), but doing so only shows your ignorance.

Sheehan needs to give it up and stop using her son as a ticket for her 15 minutes in the spotlight. Her son died for this country and we appreciate it. Stop crying a river about it. We don't see the other thousands of parents making a scene. The other parents seem to understand and honor their sons' choices to serve their country with the grand risk of losing their life.
The more Mama Moonbat rants, the worse her democrat-party supporters look. As an ex-democrat, I'm glad she gets the publicity. But the moonbat-loonies are now running the democratic party, and that does not help the country. There needs to be a loyal, pro-American 2nd party. The democrats forfeited their place as the "loyal opposition." Next!

I dont! It was a waste of his life. Its like the soldiers who died in Vietnam. A big fat waste.
And answer me how he dies for this country. he dies because Bush led us to war under false pretenses. Even if Bush didnt lie, at the least, he didnt plan properly for the post-war period. And because he is too stupid to understand history or even to study it, he relies on his faith to give him the strength to continue these policies.
Faith is great. But dont make decisions about war, peace, or anything serious, while relying just on faith. Study, ask questions-otherwise poeolle die for NO good reason!
Anyone who thinks this war is helping this country is a complete asshole. Get educated. Use your God-given brains.
