AV has a special captioning device on his TV that cuts everything said on the tube down into single syllable words.
His daughter did not look happy. Wonder what she was thinking of this spectacle? Come to think of it his whole family didn't look like they liked being props in a future campaign commercial.
I can't believe they picked someone with such poor spanish skills to talk. Padilla speaks spanish much better. They should of gotten him to speak. He's young and photogenic.

Lord knows, we got plenty of ammo to go after AV- which just makes 8:22 post, even worse.
...I usually just read the comments and chuckle every once in a while. You, 8:22 are way out of line. Props to Phil and the others who have called you out. AV is the public official - and therefore fair game -- not his kid. You get to hide behind the cloak of anonymity, he does not.

Padilla does not have better spanish skills than AV. They're both iffy, but Padilla flat out sucks when he speaks in Spanish.
AV received props from Spanish-language media, which is not easy to come by.

It's like in court, if you introduce it, it's fair game. AV introduced his son and family so they are fair game.
That's why Jimmy Hahn kept his kids at home in Pedro.
Ask anyone in Detroit about playing politics with the mayor's family. They will tell you it's fair game once you introduce them.

AV will never fit into the elitist circles and, certainly, his family must be aware of the vast cultural and intellectual differences between the whites and mexicans.
I feel sorry for the family...they are WAY WAY out of their element (unless you count the immigrants).
