The Rocky Files
The LA Weekly continues to hit the mark with yet another expose on Rocky Delgadillo's office. This one is entitled: The Rocky Files -- Who hired ex-CIA agents to snoop around the city attorney?Jeffrey Anderson leads stating that a mysterious investigation of City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo’s practice of hiring outside law firms to handle city business is being conducted by Diligence Inc., a private intelligence agency run by former CIA and British security agents, according to documents obtained by the Weekly.
The unusual probe comes as Delgadillo awaits a state audit examining his use of outside law firms, and as he gears up for his state attorney general campaign against Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown.
Again, not to beat the drum here, but at what point does someone want to get something positive out in a press cycle before his campaign falls flat... It's bad enough that his campaign team is already falling apart...

Rocky going down would be very refreshing. It would be great to see at least one corrupt politician get punished for abusing the public trust.
I say Chick is behind it all. I love how Robert Greene states...Chick has chosen unorthodox means of involving herself in the political arena, such as her private briefings before the March primary, in which she presented her findings against Jim Hahn to each of his challengers.
Yup, this is the snake Chick has proven to be.
It could not happen to a more incompetent elected official? I guess Rocky should have one the hard work of actually practicing law instead of working for in the Mayor's Office.
It's ok Rocky. Put in an honest days work and maybe you can run for school board.
How is Laura Chick responsible for Rocky taking contributions from slum lords who end up getting reduced penalties and fines?
Its very obvious that Rocky's office has hired this opposition research firm, Diligence. He's trying to get a handle on what the state audit will show and what his former city attorney's know, etc. The problem is that this firm is too high profile and scary to do the job without attracting attention. Of course Rocky's office staff don't know anything about it...it was probably handled by his friends at O'Melveny so he can claim ignorance about it. After all, O'Melveny and other law firms Rocky hires have the most to lose if Rocky bombs at the state level.
Chick isn't responsible for Rocky's contributions. Who said she was?
Rocky will go down all right. The ONLY way he got in was because the Hispanics turned out to vote for Antonio. Not enough that year to put Antonio in office, but enough to put Rocky in.
Rocky is most corrupt. More than anyone really knows..
