did anyone who attended Huizar's ceremony on Friday see the waste of city resources on Broadway? Two fire trucks with the ladders extended and crossed with an American flag hanging down over Broadway. I'm sure the firefighters had better things to do that evening. Additionally, it backed up traffic on a Friday night. Smart Weezy, very smart. I did like the mariachis though. Thanks.
Can someone tell me why street vendors are allowed to sell food on the sidewalks of our city. CD 9 looks like a swap meet for tacos, burritos, pupusas and anything else. It's a shame and embarassing. I hate living in CD 9. It's like all they need is a six foot table and an electrical outlet and they are in business. Not even being monitored. I've seen them even set up along the railroad tracks on Slauson Ave. in the dirt. WTF!!! Can someone shut them down?

Bcause susually this is reserved for fallen in action etc. But i think it was a nice gesture on the PArt of Antonio VIllaraigosa to aknowledge JOse Huizar in this way.

ILLEGAL immigrants HAVE no "right to work" here, period. The rest can work legally. They've created the problem by breaking the law, they can't also be "victims" of it. People who commit suicide are not "murder" victims, too.
