8:30 AM -- Los Angeles Harbor Commission meeting. Liberty Hill Plaza, 100 W. Fifth St.

9:30 AM --LA Board of Public Works meeting. City Hall, Room 350, 200 N. Spring St.

10:00 AM -- Supervisor Yvonne B. Burke will give away 600 turkeys to senior citizens. At 10:00 AM, she will be at the Florence-Firestone Senior Center, 7807 S. Compton Ave.; at 11:00 AM, she will be at the East Rancho Dominguez Senior Center, 4513 E. Compton Blvd.; at 12:00 PM, Burke will be at the Willowbrook Senior Center, 12915 Jarvis St.; at 1:00 PM, she will be at the Lennox Sheriff's station, 4331 Lennox Blvd.

10:00 AM -- Caltrans and elected officials will hold a news conference to announce the early completion and re-opening of the Ventura Boulevard off-ramp to the San Diego (405) Freeway. On the off-ramp.

12:00 PM --- Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Advanced Transit Vehicle Consortium meeting. Metropolitan Transportation Authority, One Gateway Plaza, third-floor boardroom.

4:00 PM -- The Los Angeles Dodgers and Councilmen Ed Reyes and Eric Garcetti will host the inaugural ``Dodgers Community Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway.'' Dodger Stadium, main entrance, 1000 Elysian Park Ave.

6:45 PM -- Valley VOTE meeting at Galpin Ford's Conference Room, 15555 Roscoe Blvd., North Hills.

Daily News only runs the Valley NC listings... no one else bothers. (L.A. Times can't SPELL "Neyberhuud Cuntsil" - let alone cover them). If one of them into riots and burned down half the town, the Times headline -- on p. Z47, next to the UK rugby score corrections -- would say "city advisory panel meeting deadlocked."

If any "over the hill" neighborhood councils wanted to send in their information about their neighborhood councils to the Daily News - they'll print it.

Maybe the problem is that not enough people from over there read the Daily News.
