Molested Justice

For those of you questioning that we overlooked an article in the LA Weekly yesterday when we were reviewing Robert Greene's articles, you were correct. I did miss this one from Jeffrey Anderson.

Molested Justice -- Rocky's office politics may have led to bungling of case against child predator

Uh oh! Not another bad headline for the wanna-be AG. Here's a key passage...
A veteran member of the office says Delgadillo's labor lawyers failed to advise him against firing Magnandonovan. Now Delgadillo claims that decisions such as advising the City Council not to convene a special committee to investigate the matter were not his - even though Bowers, his chief deputy, signed off on a memo to that effect. "You sign it, you own it," Judge Hayes of Orange County told lawyers representing Delgadillo and Bowers at a hearing in October.

McCall, who acted as a labor representative to Magnandonovan, says she advised Delgadillo, Bowers, chief of staff Ann D'Amato and Assistant City Attorney Molly Roff-Sheridan repeatedly that they were making a serious mistake. She says she was ignored. "The office has become politicized. Dissent is not tolerated. That is a more recent development." McCall was shocked to learn that Delgadillo's deposition has been sealed. "What is so explosive that a public official's deposition needs to be sealed?"
Happy Reading!

Did anyone read the LA Times/Daily News articles on Villaraigosa lambasting the school board.

Then why did he support Huizar for city council? What hypocracy!

Another one taking the salary, and doing nothing, while campaigning for his next job.

Maybe Eric should also change the rules with ethics so you can't campaign for another job when you're fulfillng your term in another.

That's a novel idea.

C'mon, we are paying them to do a job and they're running for another. Think about it...

Dear Media,

Please make sure you get copies of time and payroll sheets turned in for all LA city elected officials and their staffs for the Nov. 8th date. Since city hall was a ghost-town that particular day there should be alot of vacation days listed on these sheets.

WHAT WAS THE ABSENTEE IN GOVERNMENT OFFICES THAT DATE?

AV and Huizar are such in a hurry to get more money to spend, live the trash fee alone, and adopt overnight parking permit for LACIty.

This will take care of all the people complaining about no parking, and complaining about neighbors that have five cars to

one house. Also, apartment housing without parking, or do not allow their tenants to use the parking available in the property.

Overnight Parking Permits will not only bring money to the city for repairing streets and sidewalks, but would reduce the number of cars parked on the streets, reduce crime, and People would utilized their own property parking, instead of using it for non-working vehicles.

This will also make thing easier for trash day, to be able to put trash bin on the curve.

This may even bring enough money for Police and School Security.

Yes, yes, PLEASE add more fees (and hidden taxes) to life in L.A. Drive the last few legal citizens out as QUICKLY as you can.

While you're at it, please quadruple the license fees for pets (so no one will report them), increase business fees an taxes (so no one will start new ones here), and see what else we can do to make life more expensive.

Rocky hurt his own chances. Would someone with a personality please stand up! This guy is so dry you'd think you were in death valley in the middle of summer to sit through one of his speeches. When the guy stands up to go to the podium he hurts himself.

At what point are we going to connect the dots leading to the City Attorney's Office? LAPD Rampart? Millions in DWP confidential settlements? Rocky overlooks the instigators -- his friends in high places, the contract administrators, and goes after the vendors Fleishman-Hillard and CH2MHill.

Laura Chick should have never stopped Dan Carvin's investgation into the City Attorney's Office.

Is this the Vision?
