Outstanding Ballots
Just a quick update for all the conspiracy theorists out there still questioning the recent election count...
From CNS: - More than 17,000 absentee and 63,000 provisional ballots from the special election still need to be counted and could change the outcome of several races in Los Angeles County, officials said today.
The Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office has counted 452,589 absentee ballots, said spokeswoman Marcia Ventura. "Absentee ballots could affect any race that we've counted,'' Ventura said.
The results of the statewide propositions are unlikely to change, but measures in Whittier and Cerritos, which passed by slim margins, could be affected.
Election results must be certified by Dec. 6, although county officials expect to be done counting ballots Nov. 28. Absentee and provisional ballots take longer to tabulate because signatures and voter registration need to be verified, Ventura said.
Voter turnout in Los Angeles County for the Nov. 8 election was 44.73 percent, or 1,713,355 voters.

I must have miss understood how the ballots are counted. In CD14 the polling places counted the ballots before bringing them in...isn't that how it's done?

LA got what it deserved when it elected a city attorney that has virtually no experience as a practicing attorney.

Yeah, where's Laura Chick when we need her most? Why isn't she auditing the incompetency from that office...

Votes cast at the polling place are counted. This does not include absentee ballots (vote by mail) or provisionals, which must be verified through the county.

So how come some YAHOO was on here the start of this weeks saying how many precincts went which was (some of them only different by a handful of votes).

41% cast their votes, History making in LA 14th districtat at the Nov. 8th elections in Boyle Heights. This percentage is even greater than what ANTHONIO VILLARAIGOSA received when he ran for Mayor of Los Angeles.
So, why isn't the LA Times taking the history making story of 41% turn out to vote for a Mexican born candidate, Jose Huizar, and the ran as the candidate that could improve education in LAUSD, although, he couldn't do it as member and president of LAUSD Board.

HIGH RISCK to allow ballots to be handled at the polling place. How can I check if my ballot was not cancelled or switched.
Why do we have different type of ballots in the same district, punch hold ballots and ink stamp ballots?

On my ink ballot I tried to punch a hole in it.

why attack John Edwards, when there is so many to question in this pass election. You must have a personnal issue with Mr. Edwards. We need to look at the big picture. Is it much easier to attack a John Edwards, than to look at the reality of the Los Angeles Political movement.
You must read the LA Times only.....
