Mayor Sam After Dark

Various late night musings...

We'll officially announce it tomorrow, but here is a sneak peak at the Sister City's second, supplmentary blog entitled "MS2" or The Back Yard of Los Angles Politics. This is where we'll post additional information relating to articles or items here on the main blog, as well as special features such as open threads where you get to be the blogger. Currently, there are two open threads for your enjoyment, one about your favorite topic - CD14 and another where you can share your thoughts about the County Board of Supervisors. When we have information about a Sister City post on MS2, you'll see this icon.

Tomorrow, Leslie Dutton and her Full Disclosure Network will have yet another story about the alleged illegal use of bond financing at the Los Angeles Unified School District. Jon Coupal of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayer's Association is hinting that he may take legal action against the District.

Assemblymember Cindy Montanez, in a bid against Alex Padilla for the Democratic Nomination to assume termed out State Senator Richard Alarcon's seat, announces she has received the support of the Los Angeles Couunty Sheriff deputies' union. (Read Cindy's press release at MS2.)

Boi From Troy has a two part interview, with Los Angeles real estate developer Fred Wehba, vice chairman of Bentley Forbes, who announced on Monday that the company was buying the Watergate Hotel complex in Washington, DC.

A second site by the same people about the same L.A. politics? Is this like General Mills making 38 different cereals to crowd out shelf-space from competitors? I don't get it.

It's Murdoch blogging. One person gets all of the blogs and the next thing you know... everyone gets the same opinion. The same posts will be deleted. The same threads will be diluted. Eventually the other "blog host" will be outed and everyone who posts will get bored again.

Except for the 80 neighborhood watch poster. I bet he goes there.

If this was such a good idea, how come there wasn't a 4th floor 2?

What is our motivation to go to yet another blog? I'm confused.

Back before people listened to FM radio, every AM radio station owned an FM station. One thing they did was played longer versions on songs that played on the AM stations. They also played full albums and stuff like that. This is sort of the same idea.

Last night on Full Disclosure Roger Carrick Special Counsel to LAUSD was stating that Steve Cooley doesn't want to indict anyone because of the Belmont mess. Who's responsible for that million dollar mess and why Doesn't Cooley go after them?

Forget the AM/FM comparison. I prefer to look at it as satellite.
