When Animal Rights Activists Attack

***UPDATED BELOW***
According to City News Service, the Animal Rights Nuts have issued their latest communique.
"The animal liberation front has taken advice from our Commander in Chief to 'smoke terrorists out of their holes.' The target was Los Angeles number One terrorist Gordon Stuckey. Military Strength Smoke grenades were detonated on the floor of this animal killers' abode. Sleep light ... alf.,''
There was no confirmation from authorities. The Animal Liberation Office, whose communiques are usually accurate when some sort of action is announced, insisted today that Stuckey's home was "attacked.'' The attack is thought to have happened on Friday.

The communique also insisted that the city's chief veterinarian who "oversees the killing at LAAS had her home life disrupted in other ways, included being visited late at night by prostitutes, pizza deliverymen, taxis and gang members on two recent nights.''

In their communique, the animal activists made it plain that they were angered that Villaraigosa had not fired Stuckey, who was appointed to the post by then-Mayor Jim Hahn in November.

Whether you agree or disagree with Stuckey, this action is wrong. If caught, they need to be taken out back to the wood chipper!

How can you say this action is wrong if it hasn't been verified?

You post a rumor about an organization and then suggest at the end of that post that the rumor is true.

Why don't you do your homework first and check to see if it's valid, then give your critique?

The media never reports on these stories correctly. There is no difference between the "underground" Animal Liberation Front and the "legal, aboveground" Animal Defense League. They are the same people, with the same leaders, and the same agenda. They use the pretense of an underground group to distract law enforcement and the media, and to create a false impression that the efforts of the "aboveground" group are stirring rage and anger among large parts of the population, when in fact it is the same people.

It's likely that Jerry Vlasak and his wife Pamelyn Ferdin either committed or directed this attack. For them to then claim to have received an anonymous "communique" from the attackers is thus disingenuous, criminal, and cowardly.

In my opinion, this is reason enough to keep Guerdon there.

I wouldn't bow down to those nut jobs.

Having read the story in its entirety, I see that a communique was released and no public official or police authorities have confirmed it, thus making it unverified.

IF true, it's wrong. IF true, find the offenders, arrest and prosecute them.

Someone should prosecute Pamelyn for having such a stupid name in addition to those sophomoric antics.

When I worked for the state, there were a few lessons I learned. One of the stranger ones was to never mess with animals out in the open, because the animal rights advocates will go after you.

I had to field calls about big cat declawing for weeks. The calls kept coming after the bill was killed too. Anyone who wasn't on their side was called a murderer or a butcher.

I guess when you are in a severe minority you have to scream ten times as loud to be heard. Nuance kind of gets tossed out the window at that point.

The "attacks" that involved sending call girls and pizza deliveries to someone's house are both strange and funny. I mean, what's next? Subscribing them to Cat Fancier in the name of your dead pet? These terrorists need to be stopped!

These people chose to back Villaraigosa for mayor, despite his having had a record of doing nothing to stop the slaughter of animals. Indeed, as a City Councilman, he voted FOR Guerdon Stuckey -- the man they're now trying to terrorize into resigning. Query whether they will ever admit their error, and complain about the man at the top: Villaraigosa. They had no qualms about hassling Hahn. Why does Villaraigosa get a pass?

Hey Walter,

You know why they voted Villaraigosa instead of me;

Main reason:
"At least he's not Hahn" nothing concrete or substantial just a flowery little guy who can smile for the camera.

My God, I made my father turn over in his grave because of my poor actions.
