Monday Huizy Bashing
We've all been to a restaurant and seen the plaques and certificates on the wall. Every elected loves to shower these trinkets on local businesses to get their own name posted on the wall. But when is it too much?
Lets use Huizy as an example. Lets say in the last four years you've been an elected official of a school board. School Boards don't usually recognize local businesses with these certificates, and Huizy hasn't really at all over the last four years. But then you see these:
Now lets say you actually buy the BS for a second and pretend like it is urgent for the LAUSD to recognize Teresita's and Los Antojitos.
It is my understanding that if you are an elected official using PUBLIC RESOURCES that you can only send this stuff within your district. Huizy's school board district represents Boyle Heights, Downtown, and El Sereno. So why are these showing up across CD14?

And, very little of downtown is in CD 14.

When is Jose going to start taking care of the problems of the schools in CD14??? Roosevelt has the worst overcrowding in the nation. Huizar's mistake is that he has stupid rookies advising him.
At the SVREP event on Friday, while Pachueco had his volunteer walking him around, Monica didn't get her ass off the table once and Eric couldn't stop talking about himself long enough to let people know that his boss is the one running and not him.
Jose, this is yours to loose. But with people like these advising you, I may just have to support Pachueco. I don't like to lose, so I'm going to back the horse that I think will win - even though I don't like the ass.

AND, why was Sleezy Huizy acknowledged and given a prominent place at the dog parke opening in CD14 last weekend, in a community that NOT in his district either??
Pacheco was there - he got the project started and set aside the funds to make it happen, but CD14 staffers acted like he had the Black Plague, while "Hose 'em Jose" gets treated like royalty in Tokofsky's LAUSD district (did anyone invite Tokofsky if it was important to have LAUSD representation at a DOG PARK OPENING in Hermon!?)

Huizar also took out full page ads earlier this year, using LAUSD board seat campaign money, in local papers based OUTSIDE his school district and predominently serving communities NOT in his district (but appearing in communities where the BIG BUCKS typically come from in CD14 council races).
Not even possible THAT was a coincidence -- months before AV won, before Huizar declared for council, AND when he was UN-challenged in his school board race.

Yes, continue to call CD14 field offices 12:04 and 12:11 -- having one-third as many people in the field offices will have no affect whatsoever on the level on (horrible) constituent service since 2003. It's not like anyone's been working in those offices for the last two years anyway - we just have a slightly cheaper brand of complete disregard for the district's needs (although not entirely, since some of the mayor's work continues to be done at CD14's expense -- much like the mayor's campaign was handled in district time).
The ad's were a thank you for having the people re-elect him.
His prominence at the dog park was because he - unlike Nick- is a sitting elected official at a publicly funded park. If Nick even had a chance of winning, the organizers of the event would have seen to it that he be the first speaker. I guess dog lady Irene Ponce doesn't have that much juice after all.
If AV had lost, this would be a moot point, just like it is now. It doesn't matter because, as City Ethics will let you know, there were no finance violations. He never mentioned his run for council on the ad. He picked newspapers with a large enough coverage area so that his district would be covered. If the paper also covers areas outside of his current school board seat so be it. To only have it sent/printed in areas that are solely in his school board seat could be considered a mass mailer.

I heard Pacheco did a great job at the Southwest Voter Registration event and then went on to two more functions that night. He seems to be everywhere. But he needs all the help he can get against Antonio.
It was his campaign manager Robert Urteaga with him at the SRV dinner.
Robert was there with Nick and so was another big and old white guy.
It' not that Pacheco is everywhere; it's that there are not a whole lot of places to be at in the 14th.
And no, he didn't do a good job. If he had, he would have gone to the back VIP room and asked for Lockyear's and Sheriff Baca's endorsement. For that matter, I didn't see him get anywhere close to Gloria Morina -- I mean Molina.

He hasn't done shit about the school problems and now wants to leave with no accomplishments to speak of. He's riding on Antonio's coat tails. My piece of non asked advice...If Paul and Lisa walk into a community meeting and you do not want them present, let them know. If the entire group despises them, let them know. If they are not wanted at the meeting, I am sure they can find other things to do if you just let them know you do not want them to show up. BTW, Lisa is my relative and she can be a bitch, our family thinks she is a bitch, but she wants to get ahead like everyone else, including Mr. Villaraigosa.

Besides an endorsement like that, when you have nothing going for you, is the kind you send out an immediate press release on. What do you do when you attend a meeting and all the so called haters just want honest representatives of our council district, not media hyped up field ops.
If you ask me, Villaraigosa supporters are much more vicious than Hahn, Pacheco or even Huizar supporters but yet they continually play the victim. They do themost personal harm to people and scream bloody murder when someone goes after them. I am glad AV is gone from the district but we have to wait a few more months to get rid of the worst staff in Council history.

School Reform Plans Scaled Back
Villaraigosa says he will delay a bid for mayoral control of L.A. Unified until the city can try more modest steps for education reform.
Antonio Villaraigosa and his staff (Including Jimmy Blackman) have a history of threatening constituents, donors and other electeds in supporting their guy. It is not legal but good campaigning.
People are afraid of coming out for somebod he does not support because of fear of retaliation. Kind of like a gang. And if you live on the eastside you know the feeling.
Since we have a "Gangster" Mayor who will retaliate against people like taking away contracts, not giving them contracts they deserve,not give them proper service, not give groups money, etc., etc. Who should we more afraid of????

Record the bastard Villaraigosa. Media is everything to these propaganda pushers, catch them in the act, get evidence and feed it to the media. Take video tapes to the meetings, record them and show them to the media. The people should know what happens in closed doors. I do understand about threats. Many have been threatened by AV and Jimmy Blackman, Ace. Vengeful tactics used. AV acts as the DON of a MAFIA organization. Have you ever thought about it if he is affiliated to organized crime? I believe he is, by all his previous actions. The first latino ploy media mayor propaganda was bought by the general public, but he is no good. I am glad I do not live in Los Angeles, just work here.

If you never had Villaraigosa as a Councilmember you do not know what it feels like. They tend to 15-20 people in the entire district and leave us out in the cold.
