Mix It Up With Laura Chick
Imagine hanging out around the pool on a warm July evening in LA and sharing a cocktail with the likes of your favorite local reporter - and a very special guest - City Controller Laura Chick.
This is all on tap at the Society of Professional Journalists' July mixer hosted by Mariel Garza of the L.A. Daily News and Claudia Peschiutta, from FOX News Radio.
The mixer is Tuesday, July 12th, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Veranda Bar at the Figueroa Hotel, 939 S. Figueroa St. (Olympic Blvd.) Parking: If there's no event at Staples Center, parking is free, behind the hotel. Enter on Olympic, next to the car wash. Admission is free, no RSVP is required.
Who knows - maybe you will see Mayor Sam or Chief Parker lurking in the shadows.

Lame, lame, lame. Snooze fest. Laura Chick is so yesterday's news.
She'll be competing with the CCA Elected Officials/New Mayor BBQ and bonanza. So would would want to be on Fig?
If everyone who thinks they're important finds a pressing need to be seen at California Plaza, all the more reason to head to The Fig.
