Is the LA County Sheriff jealous of the LAPD? Do they too want a federal consent decree over their heads?
As both the LA Times and Daily News point out, the Office of Independent Review issued a report yesterday noting increased shootings, sexual misconduct, and drunk driving by the Sheriff's deputies along with an increase of slayings in the county jail. At least someone is watching them before this gets to Rampart levels.
Good thing we didn't pass Measure A or the now dead son of Measure A. Could you imagine the shenanigans that would have ensued?

I used to like Baca, so much I voted for him over a dead man, but he's starting to get on my nerves. He may need to go to the same place we sent Gil Garcetti and hopefully soon James Hahn.
Wonder if Sherman Block is ever going to join Mayor Sam's Blog? Tom Bradley? John Ferraro?
Do you mean the LA City Ethics Commission?
I was thinking more so of oblivion, but I guess you could make an argument they are the same thing.
