LAUSD School Board President Monica Garcia facing growing Reelection Challenge
The list of challengers is growing against LAUSD School Board President and Mayor Antonio Villar's Chief Education Enabler Monica Garcia.
The LAUSD District 2 Candidate Forum a week from tomorrow in Lincoln Heights, may be the opening event in a likely contentious reelection campaign for the community-divisive LAUSD School Board President Monica Garcia. As noted in the candidate forum flier above, the likes of respected Education Advocate Scott Folsom, Educator Isabel Vasquez and Robert Skeels, are some of the growing potential candidates, seeking to bounce Mayor Villar's "Chief Education Enabler from office.
Garcia and Mayor Villar, are facing a growing political battle to maintain a majority of like-minded allies on the seven member Board of Education. With like-minded fellow Board Member Nury Martinez eyeing a possible bid to replace CD 6 City Councilman Tony Cardenas, if his campaign for Congress is successful, Garcia may find her board majority, going the way of high test scores at the favorite charter school of choice, Academia Semillas del Pueblo.
Were Monica Garcia and Race Monger Marie Salas, separated at birth?
But before we lead Garcia out to pasture, let not underestimate her campaign fiscal war chest and community supporters such as El Sereno Community Gardens/Academia supporter Marie Salas, who along with the likes of connected CBOs (Inner City Struggle), will pound the pavement in support of another term for the "Big Gorda Enabler" of Mayor Villar's Education Debacle.
Your thoughts ..............
