Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Wednesday

The AEG LA LIVE CITY STATE can be yours for the right price!!
Would you like your own entertainment City-State, complete with hundreds of million in tax credits?
The big news by far in Ciudad de Los Angeles today is the pending sale of the AEG LA LIVE City State by its reclusive Denver, Colorado Billionaire Owner Phillip Anshultz. We could be seeing a major downtown powers shift in the near future, as the likes of AEG's Tim LIEweke may be bidding his enablers in local government a fond ....... and profitable farewell, thanks to the hundreds of millions in tax credits, that help to create the unaccountable city state in the south of downtown...... And on the subject of that football stadium proposal? To be continue ............. LA Times Sports Columnist TJ Simers has the inside football on the ownership and possible future of the NFL in Los Angeles.
** When the major candidates for mayor meet this evening in Hollywood, one upstart candidate will be outside, looking in. El Sereno's Emanuel Pleitez was informed by debate organizers that he was not on the list of candidates invited. This snub has led to speculation that CD 13 City Councilman and mayoral candidate Eric Garcetti, may have some behind-the-scenes role in the snub of Pleitez.

On behalf of the Pleitez for LA Mayor campaign, I am sending along this media advisory regarding the Los Angeles Mayoral Debate that is sponsored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The debate will take place Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
Emanuel Pleitez has been excluded from the debate despite the support of other Mayoral candidates. As a result, Emanuel will be making remarks outside of the debate venue to supporters who will be there in protest. ** This update via Pleitez's Facebook page.

Mayoral candidate Wendy Greuel interceded on behalf of the Pleitez Campaign to no avail.
** Think of the horror public employees in the City of Los Angeles, may have to endure if they have to wait to until the age of 65 to retire, with a smaller pension than current employees. Can you say two-tier benefit system?
** The pot heads, correction, the ill who take medical marijuana, have achieve the goal of placing a proposal on the city ballot in March, to overturn CD 14 City Councilman's Jose Huizar's ban on store front Medical Marijuana shops. Just wondering if the Medical Ganga advocates will ever consider a "Weedcall" of the Princeton Graduate?
** Its becoming more clear that Empower LA/DONE, did a great job recruiting candidates for neighborhood councils in the Northeast LA region of the city. Of course some of the credit should go to CD 14 City Councilman Jose Huizar's staff.
** Lastly, we are working on an inspirational post of an prominent public figure who faced financial uncertainty, received an outpouring of help from his constituent neighbors and now is enjoying a new home within the shadows of the capital of state government. More on this political tear-jerker later.
Your thoughts ..............
Scott Johnson in CD 14

Red Spot,

It is sad that you feel the need to embellish a straight forward story. Let me correct you.

THERE IS NO "PENDING" SALE.

Patrick S.S. is interested, but they haven't even begun to scratch the surface of the value of the properties, let alone whether or not he, or anyone else, will bid.

I have long commented here that you like to take a kernel of truth and then just add your random thoughts about it. But in this case, there isn't even a hint of a "pending" sale, and not even one formal discussion.

Thanks again for not getting your facts straight. Love YUH.
