Pictures from Homegrown Luis Lopez for Assembly Kickoff on Sunday

** Blogger's Note: A good crowd turned out last Sunday for the combination Campaign Kickoff/Office Opening for Homegrown 51st Assembly District Candidate Luis Lopez in Lincoln Heights. Prominent supporters in attendance included former Assemblywoman/City Councilwoman Jackie Goldberg, CD 5 City Councilman Paul Koretz, Congresswoman Judy Chu and fellow former candidate Arturo Chavez. Chavez gave a passionate speech, outing the establishment for insulting voters by picking an outsider (via Riverside) to run in the district.---Scott Johnson.

Gotta see Brad Sherman's latest ads.

One shows Sherman being mobbed by reporters -- only the "reporters" are bogus. They're played by his campaign staffers, acting badly: John Schwada and Scott Whatshisname.

Sherman mobbed by reporters?

Really stupid.

When I found out that Kevin De Leon was another carpetbagger who slept on someone's couch in order to establish "residency" to run for office in this district, I knew I would not sit still while the arrogant Democratic machine thugs in Sacramento tried to parachute Jimmy Gomez in to the same district. I am sick and tired of incompetent boobs "choosing" their district with filthy union money behind them. Let's build this coalition to elect Luis Lopez -- someone who is actually invested in our district.

I CAN'T THINK OF AN INSTANT IN TIME THAT HISPANIC LEADERSHIP HAS BENEFITED HISPANICS OR ANYONE BUT THE GUY OR GAL WHO WON. THEY USUALLY ARE SUPPORTED BY SOME GROUP NEVER GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITY WHO ARE THE LOSERS. NOT THAT ANY POLITIAN IS WORTH MUCH. I WISH THE GOVERNMENT WORKED WITH AND FOR THEIR COMMUNITIES NOT AGAINST THEM.
