Morning Briefs on the "Tru Political Machine" for Tuesday

Downtown News Editor and "Scribe of Wit" Jon Regardie.
Our friend at the Downtown News Editor and Scribe of Wit Jon Regardie has the best "Tru angles" on the stunning defeat and looming political downfall of "former" District Attorney Candidate and City Attorney Carmen Trutanich in last week's Primary Election. We offer some "Tru samplings" mixed with excerpts.
"Tru disaster", "Tru devastation", "Tru-ly stunning".
The analysis will go deep in coming months, and arrows will be directed at Nuch and John Shallman, who ran his campaign. Every move or lack thereof will be examined, from Trutanich officially entering the race just four months ago (though he had formed an exploratory committee, allowing him to raise money, in April 2011) to his refusal to engage his competitors — though many of the five other candidates showed up at numerous public forums, Trutanich only once graced them with his presence.

"Tru downfall", "Tru failure", "Tru-ly shocking"

Los Angeles’ political elite also misjudged the race. Local office holders and groups frequently throw their weight behind the presumed frontrunner to ensure smooth relations after the election. In recent months Trutanich’s campaign had sent out press releases trumpeting the endorsement of everyone from former Mayor Richard Riordan to City Council members José Huizar and Dennis Zine to various unions, among them the uber-powerful Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO.

"Tru tumble", "Tru-ly unexpected"...... and "Tru-ly another" excellent missive from the "Tru Scribe of Wit" Jon Regardie.

"Spin the Shallman"
Deputy District Attorney and "former friend" of City Attorney Carmen Trutanich David Berger would be included on every political pundit's "Top Five List" of people responsible for sounding the warning about the "Tru Nuch". In his bloggin incarnation as "Joe Friday" of the excellent LA Dragnet Blog, he has become one of thee best "YouTube Deconstructors" of politicos such as Nuch. Two of his best videos are of "Private Citizen/Campaign Consultant" John Shallman's appearance on Fox 11 News which we have dubbed "Spin the Shallman" and have posted below for your viewing pleasure.

Now we know why John Shallman spends top dollar on campaigns (that sinks on Election Day).

The LA Weekly's Gene Maddaus "Five Biggest Losers From Carmen Trutanich's D.A. Debacle (Other Than Trutanich). Maybe it should of been six.
Gene, don't spare the Shallman from your list.

A Zuma Dogg Commentary on the "Tru defeat" at the polls.
Zuma Dogg has some choice commentary on the defeat of Carmen Trutanich.

John Walsh to honor bloggers who were Tru in defeating Nuch
I (John Walsh) PLAN TO SPEAK AT CITY COUNCIL TOMORROW (Tuesday) AND READ THE HONOR ROLL OF BLOGGERS  WHOSE CONCERTED EFFORT ENDED TRUTANICH'S
POLITICAL CAREER LAST WEEK.

THEY ARE IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:RON KAYE, MAYOR SAM, JOSEPH MAILANDER,
STEPHEN BOX, HOLLYWOODHIGHLANDS.ORG, STREET HASSLE, CELESTE FREMON, JACK HUMPHREVILLE, JOE FRIDAY.. ** We would add Zuma Times to that list.

Your Tru thoughts ..............

ZD's personal message to Carmen sums up the way so many feel about the kind of narcissistic moronic thug Nuch turned into. Glad so many Los Angelenos told Trutanich exactly how little they trusted him for DA, and expect the result will be even more humiliating in March 2013 if Nuch double dares LA to trash him a second time. ZD may not have the eloquence or subtlety of other bloggers, but he sure gets his point across doesn't he!
