"Brian Johnson Myopia" breaks out in the 46th Assembly District
** URGENT BLOGGER'S NOTE: In the interest of political mental health, we focus attention this morning on what can best be described as an outbreak of post-election "Brian Johnson Myopia" among his strident supporters. The demographics most likely prone to this affliction are democrats who support Charter Schools and are in denial of the funding sources behind PAC groups such as ED Voice and others. As a public service, we post the final election tally in bar graph and numerical form. Being someone who is not a democrat and went to a LAUSD public school, I can ascertain that Adrin Nazarian was the top choice among 46th AD voters. But judging from the two examples below, "Brian Johnson Myopia" can cause major side affects to one's "political perceptual abilities"---Scott Johnson.
"Public places can spread Brian Johnson Myopia".

Dear Friends,
And they said we couldn't be Democrats and support kids!
Last night in the race for the 46th Assembly seat, Brian Johnson landed a spot as a top contender in the general election. A tough advocate for kids, a loud voice for change, and best of all - a Democrat - Brian beat out both the California Teachers Association endorsed candidate and four other candidates. He will now run against his final Democratic opponent in November.
Brian's victory in yesterday's election verifies that a Democrat CAN stand up foreducation reform and STILL be a Democrat, contrary to the protests of the local Democratic Party boss! Oh yes we can! Brian cruised past the CTA endorsed candidate to move into the general election where Democratic education reformers will be strongly positioned to make our case for education reform to the voters.
Though the trail was hard fought, Brian's triumph breathes hope into education reform Democrats who have the courage of their convictions that education is the civil rights issue of our time - and are willing to fight for the change we need within our party. No longer will we simply allow special interests to dominate our party platform on education and hold reform hostage.
So today, let us celebrate Brian's victory as a victory for students and Democrats alike! And tomorrow, in the words of President Obama, "Forward!"
Sincerely,
Sen. Gloria Romero (Ret.)
CA State Director
Democrats for Education Reform
** Then we note this case of "Brian Johnson Myopia" within the ranks of the LA Weekly. Please note numerical election results and then find the effects of "Brian Johnson Myopia" within the latest musing from our friend Hillel Aron (Hillel, get well soon!)
ADRIN NAZARIAN | DEM | 9,062 | 27.48 |
BRIAN C JOHNSON | DEM | 6,691 | 20.29 |
JAY L STERN | REP | 6,608 | 20.04 |
ANDREW B LACHMAN | DEM | 6,359 | 19.28 |
LAURETTE HEALEY | DEM | 3,481 | 10.55 |
ADRIANO LECAROS | DEM | 781 | 2.37 |
** From the "Formerly Weekly of Record". Again we highlight in Bold tell tale signs of Brian Johnson Myopia.
Update: Brian Johnson undid the efforts of the CTA on June 5, winning the most votes and giving the teachers union a formidable pro-charter opponent in November.
As it seems that "Brian Johnson Myopia" is most chronic among democratic supporters of Charter Schools, we thought of reaching out to noted Academia Semillas del Pueblo Principal Marcos Aguilar and ask if his students could answer the following multiple choice question, using the data from the bar graph and numerical chart of the 46th AD Election Results.
** Who had the highest, most or largest amount of votes in Tuesday's 46 Assembly District Election?
A. The Republican who hates teacher unions.
B. Adrin Nazarian because CTA bought the election.
C. Brian Johnson because ED Voice will donate money to Academia.
D. Will comprehend once I escape Academia for a better public school.
E. The candidate with the highest number (excluding IE money). ** Qualifies for "Gifted Status" at Academia.
** Thus, if you live within the 46th AD and after viewing the bar graph and numerical chart, your political heart is still trying to override the reality thought process of brain, then seek immediate treatment for "Brian Johnson Myopia" with multiple doses of political reality. (ie. Johnson loss!!)
Your thoughts ..............

What is the Johnson money to votes ratio?

The Weekly is a joke. High School newspapers have higher standards.

Bj is walker n his pacs are reformed dems who are agents for neo liberals Gates,Broad, n Riordan all in the name of reform, which is, give kids a test curriculum--think less do as told- the least cost while enriching their pockets--real democracy...elites who never taught in an urban setting n seeing a kid periencing what it means to be hungry. U think Bj ever experienced this? Ever taught in south central? Did any of these guys ever teach in a public school? Will they break bread with the very people they exploit? The bedrock of our democracy is public education...all treated equally
..not given an admission preference bc one is connected. Boards held accountable to law. Bj n his supporters think they are above the law n with an entiitlement to save kids of color...voters in the Valley must see this....
