Late Evening Brief on a Dawning Los Angeles Political Scene for Wednesday

Political Son (Councilman Jose Huizar) and Father (Mayor Antonio Villar) Portrait.
We don't know the specific date, place and time of the birth of this "political father and son relationship" but as "Papi Villar" nears the end of his reign as the "Latino Mayor Frank Shaw" of Los Angeles political history, "Mijo Huizzy" is asserting his political rebellion (facetious comment alert!).

Councilman Huizar did the unexpected today by endorsing United Firefighters of Los Angeles City President (on leave) Pat McOsker for the vacant CD 15 City Council Seat. this comes after Mayor Villar had announced his support for Assemblyman (and former Huizar's LAUSD School Board colleague) Warren Furutani. On top of that, the Los Angeles County Democratic Party anointed Furutani as the party establishment candidate with their endorsement today (Tuesday).

So in politically psycho-analysing Councilman Huizar's break with "Papi" on the CD 15 Special Election, could their split be predicated on Mijo's lashing back at Papi for supporting his past political endeavors at the price of his political and personal future? More in the days ahead.......

** More briefs as we near dawn.

Your thoughts..............

What's shocking is that anybody would even care who either one of them endorsed.
