Van De Kamps Coalition Protest on LACCD Audit schedule for tomorrow's Board of Trustees Meeting
Blogger notes: Once upon a time, an elected "board of trustees' promise to bring community college opportunities to Northeast Los Angeles by remaking the historic Van De Kamp Bakery site into a 21st Century Community College Satellite Campus. But the final product turned out to be a half-baked scheme that misappropriated bond money to benefit the LACCD Administration and its political allies. The community -created Van De Kamps Coalition is calling upon citizens to attend the Special Meeting called for by LACCD Trustee Miguel Santiago to discuss the findings of California Controller John Chiang's audit of the controversial LACCD Construction Program---Scott Johnson
