New Comment Policy

Going forward, anonymous comments are no longer permitted on MayorSam. You must have either a Google or Open ID account to post a comment. 

We have allowed anonymous comments in the past in order to allow whistleblowers to pass his important information about fraud, waste and abuse in City government.

However this privlege has been abused by other bloggers, elected officials and others for nefarious purposes that I can not monitor full time, thus, this change.

If you truly have information that you need to pass to us anonymously, you can do so via email. If you can't use some email account to do that directly, there are anonymizer services available (Google them) or you can send us a private Twitter or Facebook message.
