Afternoon Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Scene for Thursday
"Reigning Los Angeles Journalist of the Year Patrick Range McDonald".
LA Weekly's Patrick Range McDonald latest missive that takes Mayor and MTA Chairperson Antonio Villar to task for his latest nefarious dealings regarding the "Westside Subway Extension", will be his last Villar piece for the next six months.
Former RINO Mayor Richard Riordan has retained the pen behind the "11% Mayor" to write his memoirs, a task that some would be surprise to see McDonald undertake. But as McDonald stated, any perceived political barriers between McDonald and Riordan are not so profound to hinder their working relationship. "Some people may wonder, because I'm a liberal Democrat openly gay man, why am I helping to write a memoir about a Republican? But Riordan always been strongly in favor -- going back years -- of gay rights and gay marriage." We wish the best to Patrick on his latest effort to bring grammatical order to an gaff-prone politico narrative.

Red Spot, you say you "wish the best" to Patrick, AS IF HE EVEN KNOWS YOUR NAME!
That's so you.

Red Spot, for the new readers, would you please re-state your reason for opposing same-sex marriage? Thanks in advance!

I wonder why Ayaan Hirsi Ali is only referred to as a feminist by McDonald (and Wikipedia). I see her as a human rights crusader-a brave and fascinating woman.

"I wonder why Ayaan Hirsi Ali is referred to as a feminist by Wikipedia and McDonald. I would think she is more of a human rights crusader."
Perhaps the two are synonymous.

I also would like to hear Red Spot's argument against same-sex marriage.

I've noticed that every time Red Spot is asked a question, he magically disappears for a while. Then he comes back and acts like he never saw the questions. Very sneaky if you ask me. Ironically enough, Red Spot is always implying in that round about way he does that politicians like Huizar and Gatto are up to sneaky, shady stuff. But then Red Spot sneaks off every time someone asks a simple question! I mean come on, just tell us why you're against gay marriage - it's not a trick question. It's a simple question. Me, personally, I like a guy who stands up and says, here's why I'm against X-Y-Z. Period. If you disagree, we can debate or just agree to disagree. But to sneak off like a frightened rodent? Come on! You're never going to get a hot girl like Gatto's wife or the Telemundo babe if you sneak away every time a tough question is asked. And by the way, ignoring the question does not mean no one else saw the question. Everyone else saw 1) the question was asked, and 2) you never answered it. It's like when a child covers his eyes and says "you can't see me." Um, sorry, Charlie, but we all see that questions are being asked and you are sneaking away time and time again. Come on Red Spot!
