So Scott Schmidt is on your show... at least we know why you attacked Lindsay Horvath the other day.
Michael Higby said:
I "attacked" LiHo because she said something stupid.
Just as you just did.
Have another drink.

Higby,
If we're talking about stupid things, I believe you said Phil Jennerjahn was smart.
Who's the alkie now?
Michael Higby said:
Phil is smart. Are you?

Higby, you use this blog to promote every loser, usually republican, candidate you can. It is always preceded by an attack on the presumed opponent.

There are 3 absolutes in life; Death, Taxes, and Phil Jennerjahn is as dumb as a box of rocks.

Phil Jennerjahn, "I must have been looking sharp at CPAC. A few times someone shouted at me "Congressman!" Sadly, I had to tell them "Not yet"".
Michael Higby said:
Must be lonely over there.

Prepare yourself for a THREE STOOGES marathon, over the next three weeks.
NO, not on TV, in local politics.
Because now in CD14, the troika is complete, with the addition of ...
DOH, Alvin "Homer Simpson" Parra endorsing Rudy Rich Martinez (the grave-robbing, no-peace-without-sniping Glendale Republican).
NOW you know what you get. The only real question is, is Tricky Nicky Pacheco actually "Moe" - the one calling the shots?
Is Parra, "Larry" and does that make Rudy, "Curly" in the final equation?
Appropriate that all three will have failed to even get within since digits of Huizar in final voting when this is all over.
In the end, the public knows bumbling clowns when they see them, and don't elect them to important offices.
Nyuk. nyuk, nyuk. "HEY NICK! How come every time one of us runs against Huizar, he gets an even HIGHER perentage of the votes than against the LAST guy"
Ain't that moving in the WRONG direction, even for us KNUCKLEHEADS?"

1 person called in?
Which means, what? 14 were listening, all hardcore Huizar haters already. Hell, those people would probably vote for Jennerjahn, if he carpet-bagged into CD14.
No real viable candidate for a City Council position would even waste the time just weeks before the election to make that kind of "on (dead) air appearance.
NO NET GAIN. Just like the unplayed YouTube video testimonials of people who are supporting him.
Understandable, because -- once again - RUDY RICH has nowhere to go. No crowds waiting to here his wit and "wisdom" or the 15 times every half-hour about how "motivated" he is to do... (something, he isn't quite sure what - maybe clean up some alleys??)
Now, he's backtracked into the mini-meetings that most candidates start in June or July... "coffees" with a few dozen neighbors of his few-dozen actual supporters. The way real grass roots candidates (...Rudy being a grass "UP-rooted" carpet-bagger), get their first $50-60K in real-people contributions in the first month or two of the campaign.
OH WAIT, $50-60K is ALL Rudy has received from REAL people in the last EIGHT months.
WHY bother with mini-meetings at this stage? What else? Even the forums and debates have been relatively poorly attended compared to 6, 8, years ago.
Because for the vast majority of people, there's no question of who to support. Huizar's done a good job, and if they vote at all, they'll vote for his re-election.
Rudy's candidacy is a total farce. A slightly better funded version of the joke campaign run by Alvin Parra 4 years ago -- and both just about personal anomosity with the incumbent... the well-being of CD14 just being an excuse to justify the charade.

I thought Rudy did a great job. He relates to people much more naturally than Huizar. Most importantly I got the impression I could trust him. He is pushing for transparency and accountability. Huizar just hides and blames other people.

Yeah, maybe YOU can trust him, but the LAPD couldn't.
I'd go with the cops' instinct anyday.
