LA Weekly: "Jose Huizar Unfriends Rudy Martinez". What results when Huizar can't take anymore from you.

"Councilman Jose Huizar and Councilman Tony Cardenas presenting award for community work to Rudy Martinez".

"Acquaintances Councilman Huizar? Looks more like buds hanging together".

"Friends enjoying each other's company".

Many know the feeling of being "unfriended" by Councilman Jose "Charro Huizzy Corleone" Huizar.
A childhood friend who nows dedicates time to bettering the community, was the recipient of a recent Councilman Charro Huizzy Corleone "slap back" for supporting CD 14 Candidate Rudy Martinez. Still "reeling" from her treatment, my friend describe to me how she was "unfriended" from Councilman Charro Huizzy Corleone's personal Facebook page for the mere act of supporting Martinez. The horror!
For City Council Candidate Rudy Martinez, the results of being "unfriended" by Councilman Charro Huizzy Corleone, has more consequences than the mere act of being "unfriended" from Facebook. Try having your past life smeared by your former friend political consultants, youthful indiscretions exploited for political capital and most egregious, the fact that you once had a meaningful friendship, whitewashed for political survival.
** Was a supposed request for money by Councilman Huizar to help pay a Ethics Commission fine, the "final take" in the Huizar/Martinez friendship?
Thus, one is not surprise that Martinez would cite Huizar as the "taker" in their past friendship and the "act of taking" also denote his past actions as a councilperson. Huizar's proclivities for taking includes allocating $ 1 million + from the CLARTS Fund for staff salaries, he attempted to take from the taxpayers $3,000 + to party with his Princeton University chums and took $40,000 + from city coffers to buy a sporty Toyota Highlander.
But Huizar's traits of taking others for granted may collide with election reality based upon this comment to LA Weekly Writer David Futch. In the context on campaigning door to door, Huizar states "Why bother, when few voters live behind most doors?" He'll rely on direct mail to precious active voters and speeches to friendly audiences at civic club meetings. Reminds me of the "lazy councilman analogy" cited in a previous LA Weekly story.
Thus, it is conceivable that Councilman Charro Huizzy Corleone's lazy candidate strategy for being re elected, could be his last act of taking advantage of CD 14 constituents?
Your thoughts..............

Community leaders all over the Eastside are LAUGHING at all the fuss about constituent lists - most years outdated and the one that are not show now "enemies" and how the L.A. Times was suckered into making that a lead story.

Meanwhile a growing number are very angry at Rudy Martinez for using them in an attempt to embarrass Huizar - and in the case of the El Sereno list - releasing private contact information (unlisted cell and home phone numbers, and their work e-mails) to the whole world via the Internet. (HE, not the Times, release contact info).

There's talk of a group lawsuit over invasion of privacy issues.

Maybe by the time the faux election is over Nick Pacheco's firm will be ready to represent them.

Get some therapy, talk to your mommy about it but stop trying to "make news out of it". THIS IS AN ELECTION, it will cost the city about $11 million to conduct this election, get your head out of ass and stick to what you know... Whatever that migh be. Better luck next time!

PS don't even bother showing up tonight, people are really looking forward to hearing you fuck up again.

I'd say Rudy (and the mama he's still attached to by her apron strings), did the first "unfriending" - big time.

It's understandably embarrassing for a mother to have a kid that's this much of a screw-up, with criminal record, unbelievable -- and lame excuses -- for other crimes never prosecuted (impersonation an officer). But, this kind of mother-henning, just to foist him on an unsuspecting population as someone who can actually help run the city of L.A. goes way beyondany reasonable kind of "positive reinforcement" just to help keep a problem child on the road to respectability.

(apparently Rudy's latest "WMD" on the Huizar campaign was filled with "laughing gas" - probably not what he'd hoped for)

From HP "Patch":

In response to Martinez's statement, Huizar sent out an email to supporters stating that the lists were not " used to determine who received services, or had their potholes filled.”

So far, the lists seems to be evoking laughter, not outrage, in Northeast neighborhoods.

The widely read blog http://highlandpark.blogspot.com posted "On a scale of -5 to +5, HLP90042 always rocks a 'Huizar Score' of +10 in Community Power!!" on its Twitter feed.

Pat Griffith, of the Arroyo Seco Neighborhood Council, who was listed as a '1' both in support and influence, quipped that she was "glad to be invited to the party."

"One so hates to be ignored," she said.

One neighborhood Highland Park Neighborhood Council member, who spoke not for attribution, said some members "howled with laughter" upon seeing the lists, especially when they noticed that Martinez himself had scored a 3 in both support and community influence.

Poor Rudy, laughed at as a roly-poly youth and now laughed at by community leaders -- the ones he thought he was "courting" -- as an insignificant amateur. Most of the people Rudy's dissed by playing with these lists do more altruistic service to CD-14 in one week than he's done in his entire self-serving life.

OH, and before the children "snark" back and say "we'll see who's laughing in March" -- that already pre-determined. A lot of the same people, before they pick up their tools and petitions and get back to the work of making the Eastside a better place to live, aided by Huizar.

Buy Huizar won't be laughing at the loser that is "Deludy" Martinez. He has too much class for that (fortunately, I don't).

He'll just be wishing he could have all the wasted hours back he's spent trying to defend himself from B.S. "charges". . . charges, by the way, that will "DISAPPEAR" in 5-6 weeks never to be heard from again (like Alvin Parra's 'Huizar took too many vacation days' lies 4 years ago).

Why?

Because they're all creations of a scorched earth "win the campaign, even if you destroy years of district goodwill" mentality.

And the "red spots" of the world carry the flame-throwers with pride.

I have one simple question for everyone bashing Rudy past, and present, but I want everyone to understand I am not supporting either candidate.

If Rudy and the current Jewish/Mexican Mayor Villar have very similar backgrounds why is it that Rudy is consider a no good for thing mother-foo, and the other hand the Jewish/Mexican Mayor is looked upon as the great brown hope for all Latinos who has screw inside out?

How can Parke and Meat on one hand tell the world that Mayor is a great role, and success story, and should be elected to every office possible with the same story as Rudy?

Actually Rudy is a greater success story than the Jewish/Mexican Mayor for the simple fact that he is a self made man the real American Dream.

So, blog-on dudes... I'm just asking???

You got nerve, Red Spot, anyway - or maybe it's just the assurance that the Huizar-haters here won't call you constant contradictions and incongruencies (look it up)...

But, parroting the "Huizar is lazy, he won't walk the streets for votes" slam is about as transparent of you as Rudy's smokescreen attacks at Huizar to divert attention from his own lack of qualifications.

BECAUSE . . . the first time Huizar was seen out campaigning door-to-door, you and your 3 remaining mini-spots here would be HOWLING at the moon that he "SHOULD BE WORKING ON COUNCIL BUSINESS, NOT TRYING TO GET RE-ELECTED" (and it wouldn't matter if he was photgraphed doing it at 8 a.m. on a Sunday morning.

Jose HAS a job; one he'll keep and that keeps him busy 24/7 on behalf of his constituents.

Rudy is a bored tiny-business owner who isn't really needed at the eateries, and a house-flipper stuck in a lousy real estate market.

What else is he gonna do?

Besides, I don't think either you, Rudy Rich, or the hack reporter who asked the question has anything liker the track record of Huizar's 4-straight victories for City office in L.A. - the last one, a huge landslide, and the one before, a flatout walk-in-the-park against a dozen other opponents who accused him of everything but being a Islamic non-citizen.

Spin, spin, spin. You're as predictable as they get.

There's a whole list of answers, if you really want them.

For one, Villar owned up to his crimes (Rudy just last week was still playing, "um, um... I can't recall???" games with the Times). Most of Villars happened when he was very young... teens, maybe?

Rudy's "crimes" were recorded when he was closer to 30 - not that long agin, and some are still "cloudy" like the funny business with the stolen LAPD police badge much more recently.

Like him or not, by the time Villar returned to L.A. City to seek public office, he'd been in political life for longer than Martinez has been "crime-free."

Rudy was on "reality" TV 2 years ago teaching subcontractors how to slip unpermitted work past L.A. City inspectors, and how to hide the true value of renovations from buyers and sellers - to increase his own profits -- in full view of the cameras.

Maybe you see the "similarities" - I don't. But in this instance, Rudy isn't running against Tony V. anyway - he's running against a squeaky clean (ignore the laughs from the jealous illiterates who write here) well-educated, highly experienced Latino public servant.

There's more, but I have a feeling the question wasn't a "sincere" request for clarification.

(By the way, I'd vote for Huizar over Villaraigosa in a heartbeat, too).

Just once, could we get a match-up of candidates for Dist. 14 where it wasn't some foolish personal grudge issue where one hurt the other's feelings a decade ago, or they don't just belong to different sides of the rotating casts of feuding political factions on the Eastside?

I feel like I've been watching bad wrestling matches for the last 12-15 years, played out on the ballot. Or, it's a cable-ready version of "Family Feud" with the different characters sitting at the head of the table.

We're not served by any of this, and the decline in voter turnout here has a lot more to do with the level of slime and personal animosity than it does to whether people dislike the candidates or don't think they can do the job.

It's more like we feel we're walking into someone else's group psychotherapy session, and being asked to take sides.

1) "open to use for anything"

(Okay, so what's the beef, again?)

2) "hard to believe ... that you are using this money for salaries ... when people are losing their jobs..."

(um, aren't salaries what you pay people, to KEEP them in their jobs?)

Once again, ready, FIRE, aim, Rudy:

"Martinez could not, however, come up with a single example when asked to be specific about where a constituent or group had been harmed by their ranking on the list."

This has been the tag line in EVERY story on the lists... bar none!

It's like accusing someone of murder, but there are no dead bodies, no missing persons, no blood stains, NADA evidence, zip.

But you just keep telling the lie... "he probably murdered someone!"

Can't lying scumbag's like Hacopian be held accountable for this kind of malicious character assassination?

So far the worst thing Parque has lobbed at Rudy is that he needs to "come clean" about his criminal record ("record" meaning BASED IN FACT), and the unauthorized police badge - and no one disputes it didn't belong with Rudy. Plus he represented the PRO tobacco side of a ballot measure, WHICH HE DID.

The good thing is, pretty soon the reporters are going to see Hacopian and Rudy coming and suddenly "have to take a phone call" after being conned like this.

I think the "service" will go something like this: NOPE, sorry, can't help you, no money, but here's a 20 percent off certificate for sushi (avoid the eel+avocado). Okay, you've been 'served'... NEXT!"

That's about 6 minutes of "full attention" per constituent.

Gee, I sure hope no one has anything more serious to ask than "how do I dispose of my old Christmas tree" - or else the lines are going to be backed up all the way to the Queen Mary.

Something called "FishbowlLA" has broken the news on Rudy Rich's latest suicidal tactic.

This one is reminiscent of a little porch-by-porch ratf*cking tactic that backfired during the Tricky Nicky Pacheco vs. Villaraigosa race for council when someone planted anonymous low-grade xeroxes of defamatory news stories just with a "from a friend" -- not saying it came from the campaign office, and then denied they created it.

Rudy's people are snail-mailing people on the insidious lists copies of the charts they're on, and explaining that Huizar was grading them, but mostly a day late from when Huizar e-mailed them alredy.

But here's the $150,000 question...

Were the LISTS themselves supplied to the City's ETHICS commission as campaign fodder by Rudy and his people... as required by campaign regulations.
