In the next day or two I'll recap my LA political predictions for 2010. Warning, I sucked worse this year than most. Then, I'll post up prognostications for 2011.

Mayor Sam will continue to evade the request for a SINGLE example of "how Phil Jennerjahn is smart."

Rudy Martinez will NOT withdraw from the CD 14 council race, but will lose in the primary to Huizar by a vote of 65 to 34 percent, conceding the race before 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
One week before the election, Jose's proxies will call for the City Attorney to investigate claims that Rudy M. attempted to impersonate an L.A. police officer to get out of a disorderly conduct arrest.
Also one week before, Rudy's proxies will call for the City Ethics Commission to investigate misuse of campaign funds by Huizar during the 2011 rollup.
(The City Attorney will ignore both requests, realizing that each was simply standard L.A. Eastside political tactics).

Hmmmmm, "Phi" Jennerjahn?
I guess my prediction is that Red Snot will continue ghostwriting for Higby.
I predict that Phil Jennerjahn will continue to make boorish political predictions, and consistently be WRONG about them!
Like his saying that Rick Perry will be the next President.
Krekorian will win with 99% of votes cast.
LeBonge will easily win reelection.
Alarcon will resign from City Council in order to avoid jail time.
Los Angeles files for bankruptcy.
Rudy Martinez will win because he will go directly to the people.
Tamar Galatzan will win because the people like her. Plus she has a track record of getting things done.
Zev will announce he's running for Mayor (unless he wants to run for Feinstein's seat).

Zev will not run for mayor because he doesn't have and never had the fire in his belly to do what needs to be done to get elected mayor.

9 weeks until the election and 99 percent of the people in CD14 have still never heard of him.
GET real.
Heck, 90 percent of the people who'd eaten at his RESTAURANTS don't even know who the hell he is.
1:20 p.m. was being generous, because 1/4 voters (usually Republicans in this district) will always vote "against" the incumbent. After that, it's like chipping away at diamonds with a butter knife to pull people away from the name they know best on the ballot.
There's no massive wave of anti-incumbent fever in L.A. As exhibited by what, when? And certainly not on the Eastside. The Councilmembers that serve this side of town are much better known to their constituents than in most other parts of town, and Huizar is in absolutely no danger.
As long as he's still breathing air on early March, he's guaranteed another term (and maybe even if he's not -- still breathing).
Rudy in a walk in March, yes -- meanwhile the incumbent will still be RIDING to work in his much-discussed SUV for another 4 years.
Enjoy the exercise Rudy Rich - because that's all this is: an "exercise" in futility.
Red Spot and Higby will FINALLY come out of the closet, profess their luv for one another in a beautiful ceremony at Sizzler's and live happily ever after.
Rick Caruso will announce his candidacy for Mayor and his plans to turn City Hall into a Grove like complex, so it can finally generate some money.
Bernard Parks will bottle up everything in his committee while he continues fumming over being replaced as Police Chief.
Dennis Zine will become a cross-dresser in an effort to attract women voters. He'll borrow the clothes from Eric Garcetti.
jennerjahn will finally have had enough of losing and go home to Wisconsin to work in the family business.

i hereby pledge $100 for his one-way bus ticket.
I predict that Phil Jennerjahn will don a pink g-string and dance at The Pink Monkey on Santa Monica Blvd.
It will be the first time in a decade that he has earned a living.

Dennis Zine will be caught with his pants down when a brothel gets busted and it's discovered he was with a tranny.
Trutanich will announce his run for Los Angeles District Attorney, leaving Jane Usher to run the office (no real change).
Paul Krekorian will announce his run for City Attorney with the endorsement of everyone.
Magic Johnson will announce his run for Mayor.
Antonio Villaraigossa will change his name to VillarClinton to support Hillary's challenge to Obama in return for becoming Ambassador to Mexico (no real change).
AlarCON will announce his run for Mayor while in custody.
Higby will be the biggest loser...

MY PREDICTION ABOUT PHIL JENNERJAHN CALLING FOR RICK PERRY TO BE PRESIDENT CAME TRUE ALREADY!
I win!
Tomas O'Grady will flame out for CD4 with all his temper tantrums voters will realize what a crack pot he is. LoBong will also be given the "thank you for your service award" before he leaves.
Huizar will be investigated by the Feds for all the corrupt dealings with downtown developers. IT will come out the payments regarding Wyvenwood developers and paybacks. The CLARTS FUND accounting will come out and people will be shocked where most of that money went, can we say MEXICO. Huizar as an incumbent IS NOT KNOWN IN HIS DISTRICT. This is factual because why else would a councilmember have to put up his PHOTO at events? Huizar has been lying like Villaraigosa about 80 Neighborhood Watches which LAPD can confirm do not exist and never did. YouTube videos will be released of all the hostile gripes from Huizar against LAPD.

(Not yet, but you can bet his serially shady antics like that will become known VERY soon).
9 weeks isn't enough time for a relative unknown to unseat an incumbent.
9 weeks is PLENTY of time for an incumbent to cast lost of doubt on the qualifications of a little known wannabe whose "supporters" on record are ousted ex-councilmembers and senile residents of convalescent homes in Eagle Rock.

The campaign for the March 8 election for seven City Council seats and 10 or 11 ballot measures is starting up and the failed City Hall political machine has one goal: Self-preservation.
They are raising millions of dollars to crush all opposition. They are prepared to ruthlessly destroy their opponents as Jose Huizar is doing to well-funded challenger Rudy Martinez with vicious personal attacks rather than defending his own record or discussing solutions to our real problems.
