Los Angeles Politics Hotsheet for Monday

With this being Thanksgiving week and the biggest travel holiday weekend of the year, both TSA agents and airline passengers can look forward to what we are calling "Gropefest 2010".  Millions of traveling crotches just waiting to be inspected!

Uh-oh, California Republicans may be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future as far as state politics go. Blame it on Pete Wilson and what's her name. Speaking of what's her name, where there's money, there's always the possibility of blowing more of it.

Why is it that every time it rains in Los Angeles, somebody winds up being swept away in the LA River?

In the "That's Just Crazy Talk/Throw Him Under The Bus" department,  Warren Buffet says, ""I think people at the high end, people like myself, should be paying a lot more in taxes," the billionaire investor and founder of Berkshire Hathaway said. "We have it better than we've ever had it."

Meanwhile, back at the 9.6% national unemployment rate ranch; the Republicans have successfully blocked an extension of unemployment benefits. This will affect almost a million of the unemployed by next week and an additional million by the end of December. Ah, good thinking GOP, and just in time for the holidays!

Warren Buffet is a dick.
He's old about die, and had TO BE convinced by Bill Gates to give to charity. Before Gates, Buffet didn't like how the Carneigies, Mellon's and Vanderbilts were philanthropic.

So now, here's an old dick, saying hey I've made my billions, the rest of you making your way into my stratosphere should pay more in taxes.

He's also a dick because like Gates, 99% of his income is from dividends... where as most people who make $250K-$1M actually work for it.
Buffet pays less in taxes because dividend income is taxed less.

Buffet should go fuck himself.

Lets not forget he's an Obama supporter and gave Obama support on his economic agenda... how's that working out Buffet? Please take your 6 pack of cherry coke somewhere else.

Joe... are you against the body scanners?

Obama & the Dems are for it?! Which is funny because it was a program pursued by the Repubs.

Why is Obama ceding the civil liberties platform to the Repubs?

Leave to some spoiled moronic Republican brain from USC "trojan 2002" to espouse such claptrap about Warren Buffet. This is typical Republican reaction to the truth: attack and viciously attack the messenger. Buffet is right. The extremely wealthy in American never had it so good. They should be paying more in taxes to pay for the basic social services of our national and state governments: health, education, and essential infrastructure. Jeez.

It's funny to see Trojan 2002 ridicule others, yet writes, "Carneigies, Mellon's and Vanderbilts."

Sometimes with an apostrophe, sometimes without. Sometimes plural, sometimes possessive.

Very reminiscent of one Scott "Red Spot" Johnson.

You never see them in the same room. I agree that Obama is an asshole and a failure. I'm just amused by someone ridiculing someone while spelling like a Rec & Parks employee

Joe, it is intellectually dishonest of you to say that the "GOP blocked the unemployment benefit" without saying what the REASON is.

You need to say that it was because the Dems needed to couple the extension with a slash of spending elsewhere.

Why did you leave that part out?

California unemployment still teeters at 12.4%, and it's over 20% when the experts crank in underemployed and those who've stopped looking.

How Jerry Brown is going to "create" jobs is beyond me. He's going to oversee the state's bankrupcty, which I think is inevitable at this point.

Interesting thing about Buffett, he always ends up being proven right.

Any time someone of his stature says anything, there will be someone to complain about it. He's been criticized before. But his record speaks for itself.

He didn't inherit his money. He got it the old fashioned way.

Anyone who is critical of his opinions because he supported Obama will probably be driving a 25 year old Ford all their life.

The only people who are against scanners and body searches are those who have something to hide or those who want to make trouble.

Flying is not a privilege, nor a right.

If you want to fly, you have to follow the current rules. Your other options are to go by car or train, or not go at all.

Does anyone agree that Phil sounds like he's going off the deep end?

He says he has business cards and is ready to hit the campaign trail, yet hasn't provided a campaign platform and his website is wrong.

Man, do I wish I lived in CD-4 so that I could hear his pitch when he knocks on my door.

Joe, PLEASE go to www.philjennerjahn.com. "Genius" Phil writes that he is running for Congress!

Please put this Conservative idiot in his place, and show that his website is still showing the wrong office!

That's why Conservatives are stupid. They have websites with all the fluff, but none of the walk. Imagine, Phil's website for city council says he's running for Congress.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, Joe, but today's Wall Street Journal say that raising taxes won't reduce Obama's massive deficit.

8:04... I am not disparaging Buffet for how he made his money.
He is just like every other elitist... he made his money, he cheated the tax system (and I am sure he still does), but why should someone who is now starting to make money pay a higher tax? Because Buffet wants to make sure no one else enters his class.
Go back to before Gates' interference... how much did Buffet donate to charity?
Instead he build a financial empire buying up companies to capitalize on the tax system.

And he's proven right all the time?
I guess you must be in the fantasy land where the Obama financial plan worked and Lebron screwing over Cleveland was a good move.

Running for Congress are ya?

What color is the sky in your world, Phil? It's blue here on earth. Where is your self-proclaimed Conservative logic? Slacker? Lazy? Or are you just totally out of it?

Ha ha ha, JOE, that is a RIOT!

You gotta do a capture of the screen shot of Phil's website (philjennerjahn.com) and do a post on it!

I never thought much of Conservatives in the first place, but I have to say that Phil saying that he's running for Congress in 2010, when he's running another dopey campaign for City Council in 2011 makes him a FRONTRUNNER FOR ANOTHER ASS CLOWN OF THE YEAR AWARD!

Thanks Joe!

LOL, Genderbong! Your posts about Phil are always a blast of funny fresh air!

I too am wondering about those empty earmarks in Spanish and Russian on Phil's empty-headed blog. DID ANYONE NOTICE THAT THE WHOLE BLOG IS DEVOID OF CONTENT?

Oh, and Phil quotation Andrew Jackson in a "speech to LA City Council" is TYPICAL JENNERJAHN BULLSHIT!

Phil didn't make a speech to city council! He got two minutes of public comment time, just like every other nitwit there. Speech my ass, Phil!

That's why you can't trust Phil. He takes nuggets of nothing and tries to inflate his pathetic conservative place in the world. He must be seething with jealousy about those incoming freshman Congressmen! He'd drool just to be in their vicinity.
