Los Angeles Politics Hotsheet for Tuesday
Are they gay? |
Bad news for Mayor Villaraigosa. Many thought that his consolation prize for not running for Governor of California was that he could replace Dianne Feinstein as US Senator when she was to retire in 2012. Oops. DiFi may not be retiring.
Supporters of legalizing marijuana in California plan to air their first television spots on cable channels in Los Angeles. The Yes on Proposition 19 campaign has raised nearly $200K to air spots featuring a retired San Jose Police chief.
Even though they were able to snag both Mayor Villaraigosa and Councilman Dennis Zine for their grand opening according to the LA Business Journal, Western Commercial Bank is "the most distressed bank in Los Angeles." The FDIC told the bank they need to raise $10 million or find another bank to acquire them.
Not even a former President can pack a gym with Democrats in Detroit of all places. President Bill Clinton showed up to rally voters around some distressed liberal candidates but was only able to fill the facility about one third full.
The food trucks have come to a part of Councilman Tom LaBonge's district and the businesses want them there. A local tavern in NoHo sponsored Food Truck Happy Hour much to the delight of locals.
After 40 years the truth can be told. The LA Times senses that Sesame Street's Bert and Ernie are coming out of the closet. They're gay.
Labels: bert and ernie, bill clinton, dennis zine, diane feinstein, food trucks, mayor antonio villaraigosa, noho arts district, sesame street, tom labonge, western commercial bank

You should look at a poll that is not connected to a media organization.
Rasmussen says the following. 29% Strongly Approve of Obama. 44% Strongly Disapprove.
You can paint things whatever way you want for eight more days. It's not going to help. Oh, and Rasmussen says that Phil Jennerjahn has man boobs. You can see that in his photos. And you know what? I don't care.
Here's what Rasmussen says.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 29% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15 (see trends).
Most voters continue to favor repeal of the health care law and expectations for repeal are rising. Forty-six percent (46%) now say it is at least somewhat likely the health care law will be repealed. That’s up six points since earlier in the month and the highest level of expectation yet measured for repeal. Forty-five percent (45%) continue to say repeal is not likely.

Hey Joe!
A week from today, the Pezzident Obama's first and only term starts to get shut down, like a cockroach infested kitchen!
Obama had control of the House and Senate, and chose to make Obamacare the top priority instead of being like Bill Clinton and making it "About the Economy, Stupid!"
He allowed jobs and the economy to erode, while taking over the student loan industry, the car industry, the financial industry and the insurance industry.
I don't care who is in charge of California so long as the House now defunds Obamacare and prevents him from doing a damn thing for the next two years.
Ha ha ha
LOL
Good one!
