Los Angeles Politics Hotsheet for Monday

Looking good baby, looking real good!

Paul Hatfield has some excellent analysis around why Prop 27 must be defeated and Prop 20 must win in order to bring some sanity to the process of creating legislative districts in California.  Entrenched shady Congressmen like Howard Berman are fighting this because they know taking redistricting out of the politician's hands is bad news for hacks like Berman.

David Berger takes a look at how it easy it is these days to create animated political ads

The Daily News talks to some folks who are perennial candidates for public office.  Yet not one mention of Phil Jennerjahn..

Speaking of Phil Jennerjahn he's figured out a route for District Attorney Steve Cooley to the post of United States Attorney General.

If you like beer, we know many of you do, and you didn't make it to Union Station by Sunday you missed out on the Second Annual Beer Festival.

On the other hand if your tastes go more towards champagne on Tuesday evening the Paley Center hosts a tribute to LA icon Lawrence Welk.  Yes a one and a two celebrating the bubbles, Myron Floren, the luv-ley Lennon Sisters and more, you can't beat that.

Great way to start the week and the final countdown to election day with Mayor Antonio Villariagosa taking a peek at Kamala Harris's ample cleavage while the ink still isn't dry on his divorce papers. Lu Parker better accompany 'Tonio on all those visits he'll be making to San Francisco to 'help' Kamala in figuring out how to copy Steve Cooley's Abolish Chronic Truancy program - the same program that the Mayor of Failure de-funded the moment Carmen Trutanich took office.

Phil Jennerjahn's laser-like political insight is very illuminating, it's only a question of time before NPR hires him to replace Juan Williams, after all everyone loves a loser.

Rumor has it that Phil held high level talks with City Attorney Carmen Trutanich and offered his unique talents to help Trutanich figure out that if Cooley becomes US Attorney, Trutanich will be able to run for Los Angeles DA, and State AG simultaneously.

HERE IS A TWEET THIS WEEKEND FROM ZUMA DOGG.

FOR A GUY WHO RAILED AGAINST "PAY FOR PLAY," HE SURE DOES SEEM TO THINK IT'S OKAY FOR HIMSELF.

"NUCH: Remember the day I had to tell my mom that although you promised you'd hire me, I didn't think you were, now? MY MOM DOES, BITCH! about 9 hours ago"

Im a lifelong Democrat but the Republican candidates some are looking better to me. The fact Kamala Harris has emphatically stated she will not seek the death penalty for cop killers but wants to be AG is confusing to me. How can she state she won't enforce what is already the law? Kamala's alignment with the Mayor is another reason not to vote for her. If she's THAT dumb not to know what the people of LA think of the Failure Mayor then she's not smart enough to be AG. Cooley I like cause he went after Bell and still finding corruption. Boxer I don't like cause she supports the Dream Act and the hell with the legal students working hard to pay THEIR tuition. I don't think anyone should get a free ride. Newsom I used to like but he's coming off like an arrogant jerk these days. Brown is another old timer. I just don'
t like how he really hasn't campaigned hard enough and he's flipped flopped on immigration depending who he speaks to. The same with Brown who aligned himself with the Mexican Mafia thugs in city council like Reyes, Huizar, Cardenas, Alarcon,

BREAKING NEWS, ESPECIALLY FOR JOE THE BULLY!

Rhode Island Congressional DEMOCRAP Frank Caprio says, "For not endorsing me, President Obama can SHOVE IT!"

Eat that, Joe Bully!

Go Google it!

10:07AM Yes, it does look like the wheels are a coming off the democrap wagon. Rhode Island's Democrap candidate for Governor Caprio"angrily told WPRO-AM that Obama can, 'take his endorsement and really shove it.'"

More of the delicious infighting as the Obama dream team falls apart can be read here.

Perhaps there was some anger by dems over Obama's upcoming trip to India. The Audacious One and the Fat Lady are taking an entire entourage of friends and security personnel with them, as well as a motorcade fleet to ferry them around. They have also have booked all 570 guest rooms and reception rooms at the Taj Hotel, as well as another 125 rooms in 3 other hotels. In addition to flying to India in Air Force One, three other 747's will fly out the entourage and several military transports are taking the motorcade of limos and support vehicles.

Don't believe me? Read about Barack and Michelle's Mumbai darshan plans here.

In contrast to the cartoon Prop 19 ad, it seems like the pot heads have stumped up a few bucks and the first tv ad for Prop 19 will hit the tv screens this week:

Big news day after all for our mayor Antonio Villariagosa, most civil servants took advantage of the big overturned yellow school bus as a opportunity to appear
Useful today and our mayor thanked all of the civil servants for taking the time
Of appearing at today’s newsmaker opportunity. The real star of the day appears
To be a single construction worker that apprehended the hit and run driver and
His passenger.

It's not news or a surprise to anyone, but the hit & run driver who hit the bus has been arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Oh, and HE'S AN ILLEGAL ALIEN!

As is the passenger in his car who ALSO ran away. ILLEGAL ALIEN!

Both DRUNKARDS in the middle of the morning.

ANYWAY! GLAD DAILY NEWS IS ATTEMPTING TO TALK ABOUT SOMEONE OTHER THAN THE MAIN INCUMBENTS WHO BRING NO NEW IDEAS OR CHANGE, THAT MEANS EMPOWERMENT TO THE MAJORITY OF CITIZENS IN THIS CITY. THESE PAPER PUBLISHERS NEED TO FOCUS ON CANDIDATES THAT CARE TO IMPROVE COMMUNICATION NOT THE SAME ONES THAT THINK THEY KNOW MORE THAN THE REST OF US. I HOPE CAROLINE GARCIA MANAGING EDITOR OF THE DAILY NEWS GETS THE POINT THAT 8 WEEKS OF TRYING TO FIX OUR MAYOR WAS A WASTE OF ALL OUR TIME. THAT WE NEED TO LOOK OUTSIDE THE BOX FOR NEW BLOOD AND NEW COMMUNICATION TO TRULY FIX THIS CITY.
