Cartoon Animation Political Ads - The Shape Of Things To Come?

By David Berger

Xtranormal.com has been around for a while, and is becoming better known as it has been the source of some hilarious 'debate' animations, like the one that recently went viral over consumer complaints about the iPhone 4.

If you can type, you can create an animated video, quickly, cheaply and actually quite effectively, so it's no surprise that the opportunities presented by Xtranormal for inexpensive but effective political ads has been picked up by underfunded political campaigns.

Here's one for Prop 19 which, is currently going down in flames (51% to 39%) according to a recent LA Times/USC poll.

The possibilities for political comment and satire are endless - just think of Nicky Diaz's first meeting with Gloria Alred? or eMeg's reaction to Whoregate?

David Berger is a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Los Angeles and a former candidate for City Attorney of Los Angeles.

I'd like to see one of David Berger being deported. Is that possible?

You can't deport Berger, everyone know illegal immigrants don't get deported until they kill someone - and even that doesn't apply in Kamala Harris-land.

Very funny Joe B. But Prop 19 is going down and the cartoon makes some good points. It's a pity a little more thought wasn't put into Prop 19 to come up with a sensible plan.

All Prop 19 will do is cause more confusion, more uncertainty and less sympathy for marijuana users.

Funny, you would think that Oaksterdam's founder, Rich Lee, would have got a little more bang for his $1M, but the pot lawyers who 'helped' to write Prop 19 must have all been high.

Still editing the video of Jerry's Rally in the Valley? Can't wait to see it.

Yikes! No video of Jerry's million man rally in the valley from Joe B.?

And there I was thinking that Joe was busy using Final Cut Pro to clean up Jerry's "salty" language and to cut and paste a few people into the background so it looks like there was a crowd.

Joe - "2's company 3's a crowd" so don't worry if "noone" was there, show us the video, please.
