The big question being; will Krekorian, Reyes, and Huizar cover Alarcon's ass or will they do the right thing and protect Open Space?

Who's the guy in the photo?
Looks like a cross between a retarded Frito Bandito and a retarded Lou Costello.

Are you kidding? Open space is just something they do to look good. They do not care about open space.
These idiots will back up their buddy. They are all in the same club.
Anyone attend the new Home Depot, Best Buy, ect. Grand Opening in Pacoima last weekend? The guy yelling out numbers for the raffle winners said how wonderful it was to see all the brown faces. He didn't mention any other colors. And, then mentioned a few Spanish speaking countries but no others. What racism was going on there?

Richard Alarcon is the worst racist in Los Angeles.
And that is saying something.

PLUM is a 1-1 draw..... makes no recommendation when it goes to the full City Council on July 30th.

This isn't about a truck school or anything else.
It's a zoning issue. What will happen to all of the closed dumps if this is allowed to get a zone change?
Bad, bad business and the 20 truck drivers who may/may not be trained is not worth it.
Bad Alarcon. Very very bad.

Most significant was that Paul Kerkorian showed real leadership at the hearing. On that basis that voting to approve an industrial use in an Open Space zone sets a terrible precedent, Kerkorian refused to go along with the Councilmember in whose district this proposal resides. This shows how the new blood at City Hall are shaking up the long-established "tradition" that whatever the Councilmember in the district wants is what the City Council wants.
People should thank Kerkorian for his maturity and vision for the future of the City.
