Open Thread for Friday

From the Glendale News Press:

Democrat Chahe Keuroghelian could face thousands of dollars in fines for failing to report media advertising expenses while campaigning for election in the 43rd Assembly District, officials said.

His failure to comply with campaign disclosure requirements could leave doubt about the nature of his backing and his spending, said Bob Smith, president of the Center for Governmental Studies.

Or anything else. Blog away dum dums.

I wonder how much of his money came from Gatto people.

Please ask Phil today, and every day, how many signatures and volunteers he has in-hand as of right now.

Advise him that his continuing to stonewall the question will only come back to bite him on his campaign's ass.

Wisconsin is calling your name, Phil. You can be a lying jackass anywhere you go, and we've had about enough of you here in L.A.

Questionable backing? Chahe is bought and paid for by Gatto's people. These are typical dario tactics.

Arizona has changed their law to make it illegal to stop people based on race but this will do nothing to stop the criticism, because most of the critics like Joe B, Ham Perry and Tony Villar believe:

(1) If you're poor, you should be able to come to the US.

(2) If you're against illegal immigration at all, you're a racist.

(3) This land belongs to Mexico anyway, and they have a right to take it back.

(4) The US should never have been formed in the first place because they took land from others.

Bitter commenters 1-10, don't let the truth get in your way!

1. Chahe Keuroghelian announced his candidate for the Assembly ONE FULL MONTH before Nayiri Nahabedian.

2. Chahe Keuroghelian is STILL in the race. If he was recruited, why spend the time, stress, and money to remain in?

3. Chahe Keuroghelian is working with the DA to address allegations that Nahabedian's supporters tried to get him OUT of the race. These are not the actions of someone with anything to hide.

He was paid and recruited to run by Gatto and friend. You have to be an idiot to believe otherwise.

Federal agents say they have arrested 596 immigrants with criminal records during a three-day immigration enforcement sweep across the Southeast.

And people have the nerve to ask why Arizona is so tough on illegals with a 40% crime committed by illegals in their state.

Republican operatives in the house! Wait until we see Chahe's reports. These anti-Gatto idiots will have egg on their face. And perhaps more.

My bet is Keuroghelian's report shows almost exclusively Glendale anti-ANC Armenian money. Nothing more.

You know, Republican conspiracy theorists: all communities are not monolithic. This might come as a shock, but Armenians (or Hispanics or Jews) don't always vote as a bloc. And they don't always field just one candidate.

But then again, maybe Gatto was hired by Obama to recruit Chris Dodd and Joe Biden to split the Anglo vote against Hillary.

And, he was firing from the Grassy Knoll.

Blog away dum dums!

Let's see, a group chooses a candidate whose stump speech is "vote for me because I am a woman" and of a certain ethnic group. She actually told my club that.

She shows up to forums and doesn't know what AB32 is, doesn't know a key water bond is even on the ballot, and doesn't know what many kind of (very common) tax credits even are.

Then you have two guys, Sunder Ramani and Mike Gotto. Both nice, sensible, responsible guys.

They bust their asses to learn about the issues. They don't take anything or anyone for granted. They propose real ideas for altering Sacramento.

I guess what I am trying to say is, you live by an ethnic bloc vote, you die by an ethnic bloc vote.

I think that's good. I'd rather have substance than "vote for me because I am a (blank)" any day.

Brian Livingston, president of the Arizona Police Association, which represents 9,000 rank-and-file officers and agents in the state, supports SB1070 without reserve. "What we've seen is inaction, a lot of discussion," he said. "We have officers getting killed, getting severely injured by illegal aliens." He told the story of officer Marc Atkinson, a young Phoenix cop whom Livingston had personally recruited to the force. Atkinson was killed by an illegal alien during a drug bust, said Livingston.

These conspiracy theorists are whiny, classless turds.

The fact is: Gotto and Ramani both appeal to responsible, sensible, populist voters upset with the status quo.

But they have class. Had one of them lost, I doubt they'd be claiming the other was recruited to sap votes.

And don't even get me started on why Andrew Westall really ran.

Sore losers, sour grapes.

The guy playing old style ethnic politics was none other than Mike Gatto.

He and his supporters recruited (likely paid) Chahe to run for the Assembly.

There was no other way for him to win. To believe otherwise is nothing less than delusional.

This is typical dashnak spin. What peiple forget is that Chahe has a huge following and turned out a ton of people who otherwide would not vote. These people, mostly henchaks, would never vote for nayiri. It's not as if they were available to anyone else. These people voted because chahe was onthe ballot. oh and by tje way, sunder sucks. no armenian would ever vote for sunder.

And mayorsam, sudmer himself says that mayorsam is a "fart in the wind" in the la political scene.

Why was Gatto doing mail for Chahe? Why was he spending his own money sending mail for convicted criminal?

Your an idiot if you don't believe Chahe was paid for by the Gatto campaign.

Only question that matters. Who paid for Chahe's campaign? He runs a full campaign and never reports a cent to the State.

So Gatto hacksn tell us how does that work, or did your guy pay for his campaign with under the table money?

Mike Gatto would never associate with some low life like Chahe.

It is nothing short of slander to suggest to suggest otherwise.

April 30, 2010 9:19 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said:

No, 8:51 pm, it appeas that YOU are the idiot.

You get that term because you cannot debate without lying.

Chahe Keuroghelian did no mail. He is an Armenian talk-show host. He is a minor celebrity. He was mad on top of cable TV. Much like Anderson in AD 53. It was his strategy.

Mike Gatto did not do mail for Chahe. He sent a comparison piece with the four candidates. It was lauded actually, far and wide, for NOT slamming any candidate and not using a bad picture of the other candidates or any of that nonsense. Gee, it appears that one candidates (Mike) ran on their records.

That comparison piece is it, and if you think it was "too nice" to Chahe, it was also too nice to Nayiri. (What's next, a conspiracy theory that Gatto was supporting her? Or was it Sunder?)

So, let's keep this to the truth. I know you feel like a big man. That your perceived anonymity can make you say things with no regard for the truth. Sadly though for you 8:51 pm, the truth is out there, and it shall set you free if you let it.

Enjoy your Friday night. Don't be such a sore loser. Put the opium pipe down for a moment, and try to debate with facts.

956, Perhaps I should clear the air since I live in the district and my surname is not Hacopian, ahem.

The mailer you describe was a clean hit.

It took on Nahabedian for lying about her record.

It took on Keuroghelian for having no experience other than being a small business owner.

If that is "praising Chahe," your grasp on reality is probably what gave you hope that Nahabedian was electable in the first place.

Now go get some sleep yourself. I'm not sure whether to call you Eric, Nayiri, or Higby, or any of the three other people who voted for Nahabedian.

Dude are the nahabedian people really saying that, out of the 60+ mailers sent in the race, she lost because chahe (and all 4 other candidates) appeared on a comparison mailer???? That is pitiful!!!!!!
