Mayor Villaraigosa knows his Burritos or does He??
The Los Angeles Dodgers take on the St. Louis Cardinals tonight at Chavez Ravine, in the opening game of their playoff series.
Thus, the respective mayors of both cities have taken time to wager on the outcome as the LA Times reports.
His honor's (Mayor Villaraigosa) offering posted on Twitter includes Dodger Stadium garlic fries, a Manuel burrito and a case of Budweiser.
Slay (of St. Louis) counters with toasted ravioli, a Build-A-Bear animal and a Twitter T-shirt.
Villaraigosa also offered to give up the L.A. Times "if we lose the series."
Once again, Mayor Villaraigosa is willing to part with the "Old Gray Westside Hag On Spring Street". You can bet the barrio that Villaraiogosa would not be so willing to part with the "former fishwrap of record" if it was still penning "press releases" in its former incarnation as the "LA Antonia Times".
Then there is the issue regarding the supposed Manuel's burrito pictured above. Memory tells me that the burrito above, goes by a different name. they include, A. Okie burrito, B. Manchaca Burrito, C. Manuel's Special, or D. Hollenbeck burrito.
I can think of a close political ally of Mayor Villaraigosa, who frequents a place on Beaudry, that would be able to answer this in a second or one gulp, which ever comes first.
Your thoughts.......................

Home of Los Angeles Politics? Mayor Sam, this is what happens when you don't approve Red Spots posts before hand. Chief Parker is not impressed.

How about that?
All four of us agree that this sucks and that the quality is sinking fast here.
NOONE CARES about colloquial wagers that Tony V. makes. He is a fucking idiot. Let's not show his stupid glitzy b.s.

What brilliant thing will this blog do next?
Dodger scores that are available on TV, radio and all across the web?
Boy, I sure hope they do it here!

Why didn't this blog cover the pending foreclosure of the downtown LA Marriott?
Isn't that more relevant?

That's definitely a Manuel's Special. The Hollenbeck, Okie etc, are way smaller...
Hollenbeck is pork, Okie is beef, too-- last I remember...L.A. Weekly always gets the details wrong--and The Special is todo.
