Let's see how many articles that Mayor Sam gets published in Los Angeles Magazine or elsewhere.

I can't recall ANY. True test of someone's reliability in reporting FACTS or INTERESTING stories.

Roderick has a Pulitzer.
Higby doesn't have anything to even submit for one.

Laobserved.com is a uniform, non-slanderous, easy to read site. Mayor Sam's site is a mess, with homeless people, alkies and women who may or may not have been hit on by the shower-challenged boss, Mike "Mayor Sam" Higby.

Let us not forget that Higby endorsed a homeless man, Zooma Dogg, to be mayor, and lets the last place finisher to write on the blog, further sinking it.

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with flourish):

So, what have we here? (kisses hand of Tina Park) Lovely, is what we have here. (Tina Park pulls hand away quickly. Captain Jack Sparrow sighs) What? Oh...bugger. I forgot to bathe this morning. (Smiles) But anyway, let's talk about something else, shall we? Yes, lets.

On the heels of yesterday's slap by the gentility across the cheek of the elected nobility, we would reiterate, if you will, the "has been" part of His Has Been Nibbs. We hear that those who pay large sums of monies in the form of donations to His Has Been Nibbs will still continue to do so for his sphere of influence within the City limits is still as prickly as the prick the man is, savvy?

Yet those who donate based upon the ability of His Has Been Nibbs to effect change outside of the City limits are now rethinking their thoughts and keeping their wallets in their coats. The loss of Lapdog Weiss to a man named "Carmen" (whispers) who we understand has a very pleasant baritone choral voice) combined with the pending loss of a certain environmental club brown noser who used to be a big wheel in the WeHo municipal government is in fact small potatoes...but enough for those who would to use as valid evidence of the slippage of traction upon the ice by one "Has Been," savvy?

We also see the appointment of the Lapdog to a deputy mayor position as His Has Been Nibbs' way of removing a deputy mayor who, if you will, has been non productive for quite some time. Who will get the axe? (Whispers) The hint is in the colour of the hair.

(Looks at compass and consults with crew) Have a wonderful day, sots. If you need us, we shall be lunching with Charles Munger for he, if you will, knows his way around a steak....savvy?

Great point. Higby also backed the loser against Villaraigosa.

What a track record Mayor Sam!

First you lose with Bob Hertzberg against Villaraigosa. Then you really made us laugh and backed Zuma Dogg against Villaraigosa.

That makes you a two-time loser very literally!

Love the picture and caption of Bratton. Very funny. Wonder what mess Trutanich is going to find on L.A.P.D. while he takes on his new role. Geez, just imagine, a real trial lawyer at the city attorney's office. One can only dream of the possibillities.

A.V.'s political machine is now reduced to a one trick pony. That's just the way we like it. Oh, and then that wonderful edition of L.A. Magazine is going to hit the shelves today. It's a great day indeed. Good blog Mayor Sam. Good work.

Why is Garcetti a "Winner on Election Day" ??

He endorsed Weiss !!

Don't tell me you've fallen under his spell because of his faux concern for NC's.

He could give a rat's #ss about NC's, the public, the residents in his district, people making public comment before him, etc.

He's all about ambition and abuse of power.

Anything that he does that's good or nice...well that's because he's running for higher office (probably Mayor).

Or have you fallen in love with his good looks and his fake earnestness ??

He did endorse Koretz, but so did Waxman, Yaroslavsky, Feur, and almost every major democratic figure/organization and major liberal organization...his endorsement didn't do anything for Koretz, and Koretz may still lose !

Woke up to a new day in LA politics, an outsider beat the vile hate-filled campaign of the not too soon enough to be ex-politician Jackass Weiss.

Berger's blog has the details.

Weiss was the biggest looser last night, followed closely by Averill 'Ace' Smith, who's kamikaze kampaign proved as successful for Weiss as it was for Hillary.

I didn't see the tv coverage of the Weiss Defeat party, but I'm told that the shot of the night was that of the Mayor looking at the figures on his laptop, while Weiss winces as the figures came it.

MS got it right and Los Angeles voters gave a clear message to Weiss last night; Hit the road Jack!

I have a question for Mayor Sam

You used to say that you could "see" who is posting negative comments on the blog, but I did a little research and found out that that isn't true.

If you are going to post completely false information about the confidentiality of posting anonymously, you should come clean Mayor Sam and just admit it was an empty threat you made.

But I would imagine that you will do as you usually do, and just ignore this comment. Just come on and admit that you have zero ability to see who is posting anonymously. It is dishonest and makes you like rather foolish.

You FORGOT some "LOOOOOOSERS" Red Snot!

How about Robert Call-me-Fumio "Two-time-loser" Nakahiro (couldn't beat a dead-pan lightweight like Ed Reyes last time; couldn't even beat the CC board's least-popular sitting incumbent this time, with ALL of the also-rans endorsing him). And after the L.A. Times observed that he was CLUELESS about the City's City College system. (Here's a hint, Fumio, attending a City College at one point is NOT a qualification for serving on its board. If it was you would have had a half-million challengers).

ALSO:

The SW Museum Coalition, who THREW their considerable weight behind Fumio "no-naches" Nakahiro and STILL ended up without a champion in any elected office, anywhere in the City.

Board up the Southwest for good, folks. It's going to MARLBORO country now. WHY?

Because you "trusted" FAILURE Mayoral Candidate Villar to keep his word, about anything. (Can we just collectively refer to you all as "Corina II?"

He didn't even have the balls to come out and endorse Carmen. The way you guys are posting I'm sure you would love Bitter Bernie to be your Chief. Trutanich isn't as clean as you all think and sadly, very surprising David Z refused to print any of it. I do like him better then Weiss. Thanks to David Z the negative hit pieces on Trutanich helped plus the almost $1mil the Police Protective League gave him airing his negative commercials. Where the hell were all of you when we were campaigning against Antonio? Now you want to claim a big victory as if YOU had anything to do with it. Thanks to Ron and Jose for having the heart to push it over. You can post as much shit on this blog but in actuality its the same people who read it. Pathetic - the old Latino guard is dead. Actually it died a long time ago - when Nick Pacheco won in 1999 - we just needed a campaign of this caliber to show exactly how dead they are.

12:55 is right - what have the Latino politicians accomplished
-same drop out rate as 30 years ago, same percentage of homeownership, same level of poverty, same crime rate. Perhaps that L.A. Mag should have had all the Latino politicians branded with the word FAILURE.
