Notes and briefs on the brewing rebellion...........

Consider this your post on stories, scandals and events that will cause you to rise up, take part, and reclaim your government.
First from Survey USA, and the numbers are not good for Governor "Kennedy Republican" and lackeys in the Legislature.

Yes No Dunno
Prop 1A: 38 51 11
Prop 1B: 40 50 10
Prop 1C: 29 52 10
Prop 1D: 37 50 13
Prop 1E: 35 51 14
Prop 1F: 45 35 20
****KABC Radio Host Doug McIntyre's latest missive for the Daily News, makes you wonder if "Col. Kurtz" has replace Gov. "Kennedy Republican" in Sacramento. The Horror!!
****Revolutionary thinking at LAUSD ??
That is what Marlene Canter is trying to accomplish in her waning days on the School Board. Canter dares to make it easier to dismiss incompetent teachers. But the likes of School Board Monica Garcia, Yolanda Flores Aguilar and State Senator Gloria Romero provide cover for the status quo with calls for more studies, (at taxpayer's expense).
Meanwhile a judge orders teachers to can the Friday "bitch and moan session".
****"Blue Dog Domocrats" vs. "Progressive Domocrats".
****"A Journalistic Mortician" ?? Link here for the details. Must be one of the few growth industries in the current economy.
****Senator Dianne Feinstein is pushing the nomination of two Hispanic judges for Supreme Court. One includes CD 1 Lincoln High School graduate, California State Supreme Court Judge Carlos Moreno. That should stir excitement on the Lincoln High 90031 Blog.
****More on Cedillo, Chu, Pleitez and Hernandez for Congress. The theme of this story is best stated with this comment, "It's just a natural tendency of people to stick with their own," said Eric Hacopian, a campaign strategist for Democrat Emanuel Pleitez. Then this from Cedillo on Chu's labor support, A former assemblyman and leader of a Service Employees International Union local, Cedillo brushed off labor's support of Chu. "I've always enjoyed the support of the rank and file," he said in an interview last month over huevos rancheros at his El Monte headquarters.
Some may have comments about Cedillo's SEIU days......
**** Is "Paid to Play" alive and well at the "Four Year Community College on Fig" ??
****Rally the vote against "The Ones", and to elect Nuch plus other anti-establishment candidates.
Join city activists for a 9:00 AM rally on Friday, outside of City Hall. Link to Ron Kaye for details
Join John and Ken at their next Tax Revolt Rally Saturday, May 16 from 4-7pm at Tom’s Farms in Corona. From John and Ken, "Our last Tax Revolt Rally in Fullerton had 15,000 angry taxpayers, Let's make this one bigger!"
Thanks to Phil for this.
Please join the Westside Republicans as they host the Westwood Tea Party Rally on Sunday, May 17th from 3pm to 6pm at the Federal Building at 11000 Wilshire Blvd (near UCLA).Multiple speakers (including KRLA's Kevin James, will protest higher taxation in the form of Proposition 1A, on the ballot in the election on Tuesday May 19th.http://www.westsiderepublicans.com/

Why would Alarcon's program leave property owners depressed?

sorry I love Ron Kaye but Trutanich is not the man. Neither is Weiss so sadly one of the two lame asses will win. Not a great idea to have a rally right after the NC fight yesterday where many of them showed up. The only ones who will show on Friday are the ones who don't work.

833 you are right, but forget that the one thing we know for certain is that Jerk Weiss is a bad public official.

That much is proven, so says his constituents.

Captain Jack Sparrow said...
Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with flourish):

And good morning to Mr. Hoff, or, if you will, Master Hoff for the sot sports not only a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA but also a Master of Science degree from the California Institute of Technology. (Whispers confidentially) The bloody sot is an egghead! (Clears throat and continues) Such an accomplishment for one so young, only 27 years old according to his MySpace page.

Oh, did I say Master Hoff? I’m so sorry. I meant to say Master Sanchez, whose consultancy fee of $11,000 paid by campaign ID# 1250526 in June of 2003 must be quite a bargain especially when you can persuade your web designer, or, if you will, “campaign consultant” to make a Staples run for office supplies at the same time, savvy?

But let’s not talk about that. Let’s talk about something else, shall we? Yes, lets. For someone who runs with such a toney crowd, why does one live in the second house down from New Jersey and Savannah in Boyle Heights? Straight shot to the cemetery at Evergreen it is. An apartment such as #3 has no garage to drywall unless, if you will, you happen to be the property manager, savvy? (Navigator motions to Captain Jack; Captain Jack Sparrow nods) Right, then. Perhaps if the cans of spackle were sent to the address of 2928 New Jersey Street, #3, Los Angeles, CA 90033 they would probably get to the right person. Or you could always ring the doorbell and ask for Master Sanchez yourself.

Oh, and Mr. Sanchez? I’ve been known to donate large sums of money to causes I support, your CLYLP being one of them. Your behaviour these last few days along with the amount of time upon the Establishment’s dime moves me to withdraw my financial support from what you most fervently believe is a worthwhile organization. Everything has a cost, Mr. Sanchez. (Looks at fingernails and looks at Ulisses) Unfortunately for you, sirrah, the cost will come from your pocket for I am not, never have, and never will be a City employee. However there is someone friendly to the pirate cause who works in the IT Department who at this very moment is recommending to his supervisor that your internet usage be monitored if not cut off completely, savvy?

(Whispers to Mayor Sam) My lord Mayor, rest assured that all of this information can be found quite easily upon the internet. If a pirate can find it, anyone can find it. Savvy?

Phil? Ur prediction please!

The Pasadena Tea Party rally had about 200 in attendance. Santa Monica had about 500. The one in Van Nuys had about 3000.

I predict attendance somewhere in the range of those numbers.

Kevin James will mention it on his show this week, so it could be over 1000 if we are lucky.

May 13, 2009 1:04 PM

Let me get this right, Phil, you're predicting between 200 and 3000?

Don't you know your audience better than that???? Sounds like you are hedging a whole lot.

And won't you be embarrassed if only 200 show up? I think that is VERY wishful thinking on your part, and think you should have a better handle on what you're expecting.

Finally, since you are a Republican and like me are all for law & order, have you PUT IN FOR THE PROPER POLICE PRESENCE for a crowd that you think COULD BE as large as 3000?

I think we deserve an explanation and to let us know if you have the proper permit. Otherwise, the "crowd" will be turned away.

I think people might respect you more if you came across as if this was less about you, and more about an important issue. Since April 15is an important date, I can't help but think you are doing this for your own self-aggrandizement
