Mayor Villar's "Snake Oil Budget Show" comes to CD 14

Come one, come all, and get your seats early, at least before the "paid seat takers" from ACORN arrive, as our Mayor makes a fleeting appearance (kinda like his time in City Council) in CD 14 to promote his budget.

COMMUNITY LEADERS, FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS:
PLEASE JOIN MAYOR ANTONIO R. VILLARAIGOSA FOR A COMMUNITY TOWN HALL MEETING
The town hall will be held at Our Lady of Talpa Church and is open to all residents throughout the region. The community will have the opportunity to discuss the proposed FY 2009-2010 budget directly with the Mayor.
Town Hall Meeting MONDAY, MAY 4, 2009 FROM 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Our Lady of Talpa Church Parish Hall 2914 E. 4th Street Los Angeles, CA 90033
Some thoughts......
**At least Villar will allow audience members to read their questions, upon approval, unlike the filibustering, current Councilman.
**Will Villar have a designated, "quick escape route plan" in place?? Think Cypress Park during AB 1381.
**What community Villarnistas will get all the microphone time??
**What role will the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN GETTING HEAVY AS JOSE HUIZAR" have in this choreograph presentation??
**3 x 5 cards or teleprompter for Villar??
**What is the "over and under" on the number of AHHHs??
**What community "chulita activist" will get the "eye" from Villar??
****....and I almost forgot the most obvious one, how many buses will be use to inflate audience numbers??
One can't wait..............

.... SEC sues consulting firm for Los Angeles pension agency
The lawsuit and the arrest of a partner in the firm are part of a widening kickback scandal.
....Reporting from Sacramento, Los Angeles and New York -- A multimillion-dollar pension-kickback scandal widened further Thursday as a consulting firm for a Los Angeles city retirement fund was sued by federal regulators and one of its partners was arrested on criminal charges.Aldus Equity was charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission with civil securities fraud for allegedly making improper payments to win business managing money for a New York state pension fund.

Dallas-based Aldus is one of two firms that recommend private equity funds to the Los Angeles Fire and Police Pension agency, which manages a $10.7-billion portfolio for retired firefighters and police officers. Aldus has a three-year contract and receives $1 million a year to advise the Los Angeles fund, said Tom Lopez, the pension agency's chief investment officer.

Saul Meyer, a founding partner of Aldus, was arrested and charged by New York Atty. Gen. Andrew Cuomo with one count of criminal fraud. Cuomo's investigation of alleged pension abuses is turning up signs of potential problems in California and other states, the attorney general told reporters.

Nobody cares. He just got re-elected. He's an idiot, but give him a break and a chance that he earned to square things. It hasn't been a month yet.

If you don't like the way things are going in the City, vote against anyone or any measure endorsed by Antonio Villaraigosa. Send all of your friends an email reminding them of the upcoming election and encouraging them to vote for Carmen Trutanich over Jack Weiss, Villaraigosa ass kisser.
