(Which he meant, another chance to run for mayor, soon (whether I want to, or not...he was making the point."

HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! Why is an L.A. City Councilmember raising money for the shadiest Attorney General,quite possibly in the history of this country?
Wouldn't it be nice, if Villar's and Cuomo's team up to represent N.Y. & L.A., the way Snoop and Dre teamed up, representin' the City of Long Beach & Compton!
Imagine if you had the same shady team in control of the New York governor's office AND California office!!! (That still may be the dream, to have Antonio be Governor in Cali, with Cuomo in NY...although we all know that ain't gonna be happening now, at the time of this invite, it was still all systems go.)
So you can say Wendy was just doing her part as a concered citizen, expressing her first amendment right by feeling the necessity as an L.A. resident to get out there and raise money for NEW YORK Attorney General. HOWEVER, it says "COUNCILMEMBER" Wendy Greuesom of the invitation. So that says to Zuma Dogg that she was using her influence as an elected public official to get people to show up and chip in. And if that is not the case, and Wendy is such a bigshot regular community member, how come they put COUNCILmember on the invitation.
AND, once you read the links above regarding Cuomo, on top of what you probably already know about him...WE NOW HAVE THE CITY CONTROLLER OF LOS ANGELES DOING ON TEAM CUOMO. (Must be nice Wendy...Let's see where else your name pops up!)

Hey kids, let's not bash the homeless. Zuma Dogg has a lot of unrealized potential. He also has a lot of courage. Do any of you think our soldiers died so people conduct themselves in this manner on this blog by grandstanding and insulting each other on Memorial Day? By putting down people who have a right to have a voice? Even if that voice sometimes comes from a misguided instinct?
I say Zuma Dogg should enroll in the military. He could use some discipline and manners. He would also learn how to present his issues without disrespecting people above his rank.
People who have higher rank who get insulted and get yelled at have a tendency not to like it. They also tend do something about it eventually. So on this Memorial Day I pray we keep in mind that we are Americans and we are here to do good for each other.
I've never written anything to provoke Zuma Dogg, only encourage and as a matter of fact, yes I would have him in my house.

Try to keep up. I know you don't want to because it destroys your whole personae, but everything in the LA Times editorial from 3 years ago was PLANTED by Parke Skelton and crew, has been DEBUNKED repeatedly AND declared false by legal authorities in the city to the POINT that EVEN the lazy, read-it-all-back-to-me LA Times won't print this stuff anymore.
The newspaper was able to hide behind the "well it LOOKED like smoke" for awhile, story, back then - to avoid lawsuits, but CAN'T ANYMORE. Now they know it was AV's campaign hacks blowing the SMOKE, and just where they were blowing it. (Where the sun don't shine at the L.A. Times).
15-20 times in recent months, some nimnod on this blog has linked that OLD old debunked Times piece (editorial, NOT news), and 20-25 times posters have pointed out POINT by point all of the above showing it's ALL CAMPAIGN LIES from AV's people. (I know, how in the name of 80 fake neighborhood watches could it be possible for them to LIE like that, and not have enybody demand proof!?)
But you just CAN'T give up on a good fable that allows you to defame an honest, productive public servant (who's on the OTHER team), it's just more fun to keep linking bogus material.
Maybe next time you should post a link to the WORLD IS FLAT story from some 12th century newspaper. That was "true" then, as well.

Thanks for reminding us about that! I recall opposing Measure H, but I had forgotten how, after we defeated it, Villaraigosa raided the pensions to reward his developer campaign contributors anyway.
I know David Zahniser has written some pieces connecting the dots between companies that get both CRA subsidies AND City pension "investments."
City Hall is basically a big financial scam. If they pulled this stuff in the private sector, well, it's called Enron / Madoff...

I don't think Zuma needs to join the Army. Seriously. People must command respect, especially public servants, and really especially overpaid public servants! They can't demand respect simply because they're city council members or staff, especially when they're not worthy.
Zuma has his own style and it may appear rude to some and not to others. In fact, I know this to be true. I know people both in city hall and out of city hall who like Zuma and I know people in both who don't like him. Frankly, I find more people who do like him than don't no matter where he's brought up.
If Zuma didn't yell like he does, he might not have gotten so many people to listen to him.
Jim McQuiston's style of standing in front of council posing logical budget questions (usually) in his very mannerly and low-key voice gets him where? Oh yeah...that's right... NOWHERE.

Thanks guys for sending me e-mails and the heads up that someone posted my name here about Zuma. For your information I respect and commend Zuma Dogg for at least having the guts to put himself out knowing full well we all get personally attacked by the opposition. His passion for what he does should be a lesson to us all that true conviction wins in the end. I admire his persistent in going after the truth and pray for his safety. Many of us know who speak out know we eventually get threatenend for doing so.

Actually 5:30 AM, I got an A in History in high school and an A in Political Science in college. Country music wasn't part of our curriculum.

Obviously you don't have one. Do you think they'll let anyone with a history of bouncing checks, foreign terrorists hiding money, open accounts? Foreigners can open accounts but if illegals have no ID they can't. Isn't that why the Marxist Alarcon is trying to open special banks for them? If it's so easy, why is he involved?
Having said that I don't think it's a bad idea to let illegals put cash into the system where banks can use it, but they need to have Consular Cards from Mexico or wherever they come from. I said "valid ID" and never used the word Driver's License, you did. Passports are also valid ID. Not that illegals have those either. But you and Alarcon spending your days figuring how to use our city resources to help illegals is contributing to our fiscal solvency and popularity of L A as a role model for the nation. Open your eyes. Even Obama's requiring anyone who attends his fundraising events to show valid ID, no illegals.
The banks are a business and they are allowed to do business with whomever they choose. They get to define what is legal to them when it comes to allowing people to put their money in their institutions.
I didn't check into it or anything. But after reading the two arguments between May 26, 2009 2:33 PM and 4:09 PM I think 2:33 PM seems more credible. Just my opinion.
4:09 is correct. You must not have a recent bank account mary, being broke and out of work as you are, because you need a SS card and a valid photo ID to open one.
It isn't "Driver's License" but rather "Driver License." Take it out of your wallet and look at it.
Some banks did give illegals home loans as well as checking accounts with just a Mexican Consular card due to political pressure and greed and that's a huge part of why there are so many foreclosures in Alarcon's district.
But in general you absolutely have to have a Driver License to open anything online and they always ask for it and run a check even if you open the account in a bank (it IS the driver's so who cares, what a jerk).
If you don't have one you'd have to provide passport or something else in person inside the bank and enough info so they can run a credit check. If you have even one dubious check, like someone tried to forge your signature, you can't get an account even if you'e handing them $100,000.
Is Alarcon angry because the banks have gotten tougher on illegals? Shit the rest of us are having our cards eliminated and lines reduced even with great credit and payment history.
