I'm no fan of the mexican political movement, but I love the fact that another influential group is passing over Wendy.
But Higby, why are you referring to Wendy in such sexist terms? You refer to Nick by his ethnicity, and Wendy according to her size?
You should know that Wendy is hardly a pixie. I mean, she's not obese like you, but she's no pixie.
Let's hope you're not going to argue that you're "big boned" or something. Obese is obese.
Oh and how does it feel to have your size pointed out? Not good, right? You obviously don't take that to heart by referring to a public figure by her size. Doesn't feel too good does it?
I thought LAPD were not supposed to pose for campaign materials?

On top of that, the City Council blows $9 million a year on sending firefighters to fake fire alarms. A year ago, Greuel maneuvered for easy press attention by declaring a “crackdown” on false fire alarms, then dropped the ball; Greuel’s aide Ben Golombek today dismissively says fixing the fire alarm mess wasn’t a “key piece to her agenda.” The council woefully underfunds a 50-year backlog of ruptured sidewalks, and Janice Hahn shrugs it off as a “plague” even as she and her colleagues continue doling out public money — to injured pedestrians and bicyclists.
Despite the City Council’s massive support system of about 320 personal staffers — by comparison, the White House office staff is about 448 — it can be a strain to name this council’s accomplishments. Trying to list its top achievements in 2008 — a year of national catharsis and, locally, of growing resistance to Villaraigosa’s and the council’s embrace of billboards, density and congestion — Council President Garcetti touts a “green building” ordinance; a tinkering with the city’s recycling law; and the “anti-gang” Summer Lights program, in which city parks kept the lights on after dark. “I have no doubt we have saved lives this summer,” he says.
Michael are you going to endorse your candidates any time soon? The election is just a few days away and you might not be read much over the weekend. That gives you just one day or so to reach people with your thoughts.

Perhaps the reference is to the hairstyle of Wendy rather then the dimensions of the framework or the personally may be of influence in the pet name and my perception

Nothing other then a plastic pixie if one at all.
Even the Times did a piece on Nuch today about how he's using "just a sliver" of his experience, and that from 23 plus years ago, in his flashy ads and PR. The article was all over the place but people who really care about issues like the environment will really care that he's morally ambivalent about it, has no morals about, just tries to spin what he does as environmental. Haven't heard any of his own supporters jumping in joy over it.
The photo of him is kind of odd, he looks old and hostile. Wonder if he thinks it's flattering.

I'm guessing that the photo of Wendy and the police officers was taken long before she was a candidate. Whether or not she is allowed to use a photo of her and police officers in uniform in a political piece is another question.
God! I just heard Wendy("I have a five year old! I have a five year old! Did I mention that I have a five year old??") Greuel prematurely playing the role of Controller as she vows to "get tough" and go after the 82 or 182 million (don't know which) supposedly owed in back city taxes. If she wants to impress the voters she should "go after" all the money the Mayor's siphoned out of the civic coffers. But she has no guts. No ethics. No soul. But she has a five year old!!
Who cares about MAPA? They are a bunch of racist Mexican machistas with a bunch of dumb brunette Lolitas.
The only people who care about MAPA are dumb folk who think they represent the Latino community. Wake up everyone. MAPA is stuck in a time warp. Those losers really think they are going to take back their land. Yeah right! They'd need to buy it back one parcel at a time. Not going to happen.
