Zuma Dogg and ABC News Nightline Crew at Los Angeles City Hall
Labels: matt dowd, tom la bonge, zuma dogg
This is the city: Los Angeles, California. I work here. I'm an ex-mayor. Los Angeles is a magnet for people from all over the world. Some of them run for public office. Inevitably some of them stray from the golden rule and rule for those that have the gold. That's when I go to work. My name is Yorty. I'm a dead pol.

I can't believe they violated the rights of the nightline crew. They have the right to go into the circle with their press passes.
Will they ever learn..?

No TV crew has the right to go into the circle, and rarely is it allowed. The President of the City Council, in order to preserve order, determines whether or not the TV crews can "cross the ropes."

Great. ABC is going to put our village idiot on display to the entire nation.
At least the folks in Sunland have DONE something positive for the community other than self-promote.
This video demonstrates how the mutt is in this all for himself. Like a car wreck on the freeway, everyone wants to watch.

anyone with a press pass has the right to be in the U... It is not rarely allowed I have been to many city council meetings, probably thousands and press is not denied the ability to set up their cameras next to the dais of the president of the City Council.
I aint no dummy.
When will the City Council ever learn?
To deny ABC's nightline just because it was Zuma Dog says a lot about the City Council...
They lat ED Fuentes of blogdowntown Cross the Ropes with a press pass he got when he was working for the Garment and Citizen and Ed no longer works for the Garment and Citizen. Talk about good order and discipline.
NIghtline is a major news outlet with real credentials and not using outdated credentials like Ed Fuentes

Heather from Northridge here.
To all you haters again who do nothing but act like crybabies, Good for Zuma. He like Ron Kaye and his group have the guts to go against city hall corruption. Zuma has proven speaking out does get you attention. What all you haters fail to mention is Zuma is very intelligent and when he speaks on the issues he knows what he's talking about. All I hear from posters on this blog is anger because he's getting attention.
THANK YOU ZUMA

First Home Depot, then Prop B goes down in defeat and then off to the runoff with Zuma Dogg and Viagra-garoisa.

The ABC News crew was allowed to set up behind the ropes, next to eric on the media platform. There was NO PROBLEM, except for LaBong trying to insert himself into the situation and add a layer of Council beauracrapcy into the process like a cooky Mr. Magoo.
Secondly, to the person freaking out with the "look at me" comments, excuse me, if after dedicating myself to an effort, a national news crew wants to film it in action. Should I have told them "no?"
But here's why you are really a bitter loser of an a-hole: I could have take the crew to Venice Beach to do the Zuma Dogg performace routine for national cameras, as I have been waiting to do...(they asked me where I wanted to go.)
At first, I DID book Venice.
But then when I thought how this could be an opportunity to bring Viagraosa and his lap dog city council some added local attention (especially measure b), I asked the producer if we could change it to the council meeting.
What else do you have to cry about. Sorry, loser. I just do what I do, and sometimes the media picks up on it and wants to cover it. Next time, I'll tell them, "no" cause I want to LIMIT the exposure of fraud, waste and abuse. THE SEGMENT WILL AIR WED JAN 16th at 11:35pm. (not friday)

There is no way to tell and no proof that's an ABC news crew. Could be just idiot Matt Dowd's buddies and their camcorder. I really doubt it was ABC. They would have had a logo.

My dad worked for ABC News and then NBC for over thirty years.
They would not cover a smelly, homeless vagrant idiot unless it was for Candid Camera.

cool. It looked like the down video showed them having problems. glad to hear that wasn't the case...

If this is about the end of public access in California, he'll just be the best argument for it. Can you imagine any other state or city opting to require cable companies to pay FOR it (instead of giving money to their municipalities for public access programming) to have their own zuma dogg? Any sane person will wonder how a financially strapped city can afford to waste so much time listening to these rude, self-promoting and monotously repetitive gadgnats on taxpayer dime, time supposed to be spent on the other 99.999% of constituents.
He's a fluke which took advantage of a loophole in the system that's otherwise for porn stars and preachers who are too ugly or old to ply their trade before paying audiences. If there are any legit people losing a forum, they can continue to blog or go on YouTube -- if they've not built up a base by now, just proves they shouldn't have been doing it.
Personally, I think it's hilarious -- Nightline's average demographic is about 60, and I wonder who else is being included in the show? The woman with a late-night sex show, or some of those religious nuts?
(The type-in code happens to spell "idiocy," perfect.)

losers,
it really IS abc. sorry.
and to the loser (squared) who said, "At least the folks in Sunland have DONE something positive for the community..."
Why would you compare one single individual with an entire community, loser?
I do what i do. i think i've raised some awareness and a few things are different.

Keep posting these videos showing the lack of attention from council memebers during public comments.

I find it amazing that the biggest loser in Los Angeles constantly calls everyone else "loser".
Does anyone else see the irony in an unemployed, unwashed, unshaven, uneducated fool calling others a "loser"?
This blog has value, but it is daily undermined by the pimping for a guy who will not even be a footnote in the coming election.
Is he Higby's illegitimate son or something?
Will it end on March third after Villaraigosa is elected in a landslide?
I sure hope so. I'm getting pretty bored watching the self-promoting fool waste everyone's time, over and over again.

Zuma Dogg, if nothing else, is the court jester the City of L.A. deserves. It didn't have to be this way, but the City took his livelihood away.
I don't think he's always right, but he's determined and sometimes just plain funny or entertaining.
His public speech is no more a waste of time than LaBonge's regular telling of non sequitur stories.
