Trujillo Serves Up Rancid Prop B MEAT to NC Panel
Ron Kaye reports the Los Angeles Neighborhood Councils Coalition took up the issue of Shady Measure B over the weekend. That's the City plan to raise DWP rates for the stated purpose of installing solar energy panels Citywide but to only focus it in the hands of the DWP and one union as opposed to a growing base of green businesses in LA employing both workers who are both from other unions and no union at all.
According to Kaye, Prop. B campaign manager, longitme Villaraigosa lackey and former Sister City blogger Mike Trujillo "dissembled, deflected and deceived so much when faced with a barrage of hard questions." Trujillo tried to convince the assembled panel that B is simply up or down vote on solar energy with the type of spin he has become so well known for. Kaye goes on to say "If they can get away with this fraud, they will be capable of getting away with anything. Putting $3.6 billion, probably far more than that, into a single pot totally under control of the council and mayor guarantees there will be massive corruption."

Trujillo is nothing more then a lapdog for Antonio. He's not a man but a mouse. He did the same thing with his lies and deceit when campaigning for the thug Mayor. Vote NO for Wendy Greuel who behind closed doors helped to negoiate this bullshit Solar Energy measure. People should be asking her how can she be so deceitful to the people and yet want to be elected city controller. She's already proven she will be another lapdog to the Mayor.

Ace: Trujillo, I want you to run Prop B.
Trujillo: Gee, thanks boss!
Ace: There's no opposition except a bunch of yahoos with no money. You can't fuck it up.
Trujillo: Can I give speeches and stuff?
Ace: Shut up and get me a cup of coffee.

Higby maybe you can continue to allow zuma dog more time here (even though he has his own blog).
That way, you can help him go from 500 votes to 1000 votes and ruin any chance we have of getting the midget mayor out of office.
Then you will be proud, right?

so I took the time to watch the videos and here are my observation for others to comment on. Had Ron Kaye been asked to respond to questions from a hostile group rather than just preach from his soap box without interruption, would he hold up? Probably not. Clearly, Mike stumbled his way through his responses, and perhaps he had a polished speech like Ron's that just wasn't taped or offered on the site. But lets face it, the campaign isn't going to send its best representative to a group they know is already decidedly opposed, hostile, and not really all that important. Instead, they send token representation to be able to say that they did and let Mike get eaten alive. What I walk away with is that Mike's job is to catch the javelin. The LANNC and Ron Kaye are ineffective at best and more likely than not a bunch of CAVEs, NIMBYs, or wacko gadflys.

I was at that LANCC meeting and I can be seen on the video sitting down just a few feet away from Ron when he is speaking.
It is too bad there isn't video of Jack Humphreville, who gave a great presentation just before Ron spoke. Jack was more analytical and less emotional, and just laid out the problems with the math of the situation. He was solid in his presentation of the facts.
3.6 BILLION for about 4% of our power?
Prop B stinks and the DWP numbers are a guess at best, and an outright lie at worst.
I thought Ron Kaye gave an amazing speech that was passionate and called peoples attention to the corruption going on at City Hall. In fact, I plan to link to it from my website to let him gain extra views from my campaign.
Ron was absolutely on target.
They want the biggest solar project in American history?... this coming from the incompetent people at City Hall who can't even balance the City budget?
Very little discussion or debate about it.
Just the naked arrogance of government employees who decide they are qualified to do anything they decide to do.
They are NOT qualified to do this project...not in ANY way, shape or form.
Like Ron said...it is like deciding to go to the moon when you have never even built a bicycle yet.
As a Conservative..I HATE this type of anti-business, and anti-capitalism behavior.
OK...so the lefties in this town want solar power? Fine, ..start SMALL! Put out a contract for 200 million and get over 10 bids from private companies. Let someone who knows what they are doing handle it.
Private companies always respond faster, work better, and get better results than government employees who KNOW that they can never be fired. ( By the way... the City hasn't laid anyone off since 1983!!)
There was an open sense of fear at that meeting that this might not be able to be defeated. The corrupt IBEW is going to vote for it...so will every other union member in LA...more money in their pockets.
All DWP employees...this is like their retirement plan ...it's so much money.
Absolutely disgusting what is happening in this city... but like the old saying goes.. Democracy will always be in danger when 51% of the people discover that they can vote themselves money and assets and power from the other 49%.
Like Ron said...if this goes through...it is the beginning of the end for this city.

Who might be the best representative if it's not the guy running the bloody campaign?? The bottom line is that this proposal stinks, but without an organized, well-funded opposition, it is almost sure to pass.

Phil - I have a suggestion. Why don't you drop your campaign for Mayor and become the manager for No on B?
You're a nice guy Phil but no one knows who you are, what you've done, what your background is, etc.
It's great you managed to qualify for the ballot, no small task because obviously some very bright folks seemed to be a bit challenged in that area, but that alone does not qualify you to run for office.
I'm all for new folks getting involved and your enthusiasm and idealism is refreshing - but you don't just run to the top.
If you helmed No on B and actually defeated this shady measure you could write your own ticket in the next election.
Something to think about.

Mayor Sam,
When Trujillo came to speak to LANCC did he talk about the 80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES?

Mike shouldn't worry about losing his job with AV since Zuma has already offered Mike one.

I wasn't at the LANCC meeting. So I can't tell you.
Maybe Ron Kaye or Phil Jennerjahn can enlighten us. Did Mike talk about the 80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES? How about the 80 FAKE WEEZAR WINTER WONDERLANDS?

Dear Clueless Phil:
You'll never get elected mayor spending what little time is left blogging here or spending all Saturday at a meeting of neighborhood council people.
To help make that point, how many of those people signed up for your campaign by doing anything as simple as offering an endorsement?
You could have done better at the Farmers Market.

Wow. Mike "the weasel" Trujillo really looked bad there. What an embarassment to the campaign! I can't believe the way he answered those questions!
It was all terrible hand gestures and stutters and obvious sweating.
Plus no logic to be found. Clear obfuscating.
I mean, the way this video circulated around LA, you have to conclude that Michael "Falsetto" False-illo has devastated the Yes campaign in the activist community.
What a turd.

Maybe if jennerjerk does something really dumb and newsworthy Jill Stewart will give him a cover like the madd mutt -- rambling on in his suit at public comment doesn't seem to be getting him anywhere. You have to either have a lot of support and money behind you or just be crazy and such an idiot people look at you, like at a train wreck -- the mutt talking about hiring Trujillo when he's mayor as long as Trujillo shapes up is even crazier than his antics.

You mad he didn't offer to hire you Uli?
