Big Mouth Joe Does It Again!
It's going to be a fun four years as our new Vice President - who the Los Angeles Times referred to as a "gaffe machine" - gets under his boss' skin and gives us plenty-o-laughs on the blog.
Here Joe the Biden tries to make a crack about Chief Justice John Roberts' flub during President Obama's swearing in (which by the way was re-done Wednesday night just to be on the safe side) and clearly the President is not amused.
We want to thank President Obama for giving us the most fun Vice President since Dan Quayle or perhaps even Spiro Agnew. We've gone from VP Darth Vader to VP Your Crazy Old Uncle.

Goofy old "Uncle Joe" will be tucked away for ceremonies and other inconsequential matters. He is the "Anti Cheney", someone who will definitely have no power. He is a career "Pol" who has really never done anything of consequence other than getting reelected every 6 years. If he dies in office, no one will really notice and it definitely won't "count".

He was nbervous thathis wife Jill was going for his title, sohe needed to say something stupid to regain his position.

I'll put up with Joe Biden's verbal gaffes in exchange for undoing all the criminal activities of Bush and his administration.

Now Jim / Joe - if that scene was McCain getting upset with Palin for goofing up the ceremony YOU KNOW you would be on here on saying "Oh look it Oath Officiating Barbie - can you take the oath from Russia?"
If we can't make fun of our leaders, well at least Jay Leno won't be able to buy any more old cars and there goes the economy.
I appreciate Obama's reaction. It shows that he is focused like a laser beam on the business at hand. Certainly, Obama wants to take the focus off personalities and get it back on the business that needs to get done.
To this end, I am sure he spoke to Biden afterwards. Biden is an old Senate guy. These guys, while they have old connections are also in a bubble of self-referential humor. Biden should not have made such a crack. It was unprofessional. So Biden needs a trip to the woodshed and told to think twice before offering "jokes" at official events.
So let me get this straight.
You're pleased that O'bama is "laser focused" at the behavior of the veep candidate that HE chose?
