Guess who from CD 14??

"SPOLL Checkers" in the bloggin cybersphere, Third Floor Groupies, Huizar's Constituient Investigators, or all the above.

Guess who is back today to regale y'all with tales of intrigue, graft, and corruption in the "Cut and Paste Sanctuary of CD 14??

Much has been speculated about my time away from the bloggin political landscape and indeed that time away was well spent in pursuit of other interests.

But on this historic day in the history of our "experiment in democracy", the time has come to re-engage the dialog with all of you in the bloggin world..

Some may ask what has going on in the domain of one "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN LOSING LAWSUIT REGARDING ELEPHANT HILL AS JOSE HUIZAR"?

Others may ask what role the COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN SUPPORTING RESTRICTIVE HOME OWNER RIGHTS AS JOSE HUIZAR" had in the busing in of students from Wilson High School to support the ICO for hillside properties in Northeast LA??

Or how about the latest "chisme" from the office of one "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN SUPPORTING LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE MERCADO AS JOSE HUIZAR"???

How about the dealings with the poster child for new shady non-profit in CD-14, Legacy LA, by the "COUNCILMAN LAST SEEN INVESTIGATING OTHERS AS JOSE HUIZAR"???? ***(By the way props to LA Weekly writer Daniel H. for his article on the secret dealings involving MAYOR POLLOVILLAR's Gang Program).

In the days ahead, one can look forward to more exposes from an re energize Red Spot in CD 14.

To my fellow bloggers, hope all is well and BIG BLOGGIN PROPS to Joe B., Abby and all in the "S-T" on their great victory against "Homeless Depot" (at least in the S.T.)

May the same bless the fine people of the Friends of the Southwest Museum this year.

......and lastly, may 2009 bless one Corina with the return of her last name.

I am happy that Barack Obama is finally in office. Because now the U.S. will return to #1 by bringing back the jobs that left this country and by creating new jobs. People who are about to be kicked out of their foreclosed homes are happy, too, because Barack won't let that happen. People won't be kicked out of their homes, now. I know Barack said that Wall Street won't be getting away with that stuff anymore. And I know a lot of people are glad Obama is in office now, so their 401K funds can now be restored.

So today is a great day in American history. Because it is the day that people won't get kicked out of their homes anymore and there will be alot of jobs created and the world likes Barack Obama so there will be much more peace, too.

I wonder how long it took for the CIA's briefing to sink into O'bama's coconut that torture is necessary.

Can't wait until those Gitmo people are moved to Leavenworth Prison in Kansas.

YES, THAT'S WHERE THEY ARE GOING, KIDS. See how you like these terrorists entering the domestic courts system.

This is why Gitmo won't be closed. What Congressman wants to answer to his voters that Al Queada will be kept at the local Federal prison?

"Obama must decide how and where to prosecute detainees such as Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the self-proclaimed mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. He must convince communities in the United States that terrorist suspects can be safely moved to military or civilian prisons in the continental United States, and press diplomatic negotiations to repatriate or resettle prisoners who can be released. And he must consider settling some small number of detainees in the United States to help persuade allies to take others."

Higby, if Gitmo is ordered closed within 30 days, do you promise to shut down this blog for good?

You know even less than Zuma O'dogg. They're already discussing the shutdown. Yea, yea

Already? They've been talking about it for months.

Obama has already started backpedaling saying it won't be easy. Lots of Congressmen will say hell no to those guys being moved to their prisons.

But maybe that's a good use for Grand Avenue!

Give a hand to stopping the corruption in our city with these damn Latino politicans. Why is Henry Casas still getting paid over $100,000 on paid leave after he was arrested for Domestic Violence and will he keep his job? I want Daniel Hempiel at Weekly to investigate the Intervention Program in Ramona Gardens that is getting gang money. No one has heard of them or knows what they do.

Red Snot was in a county facility all right, but not the one you're implying. Initially it was just for a 72-hour psych hold (which kept getting extended).

Hey "Snot" - if Huizar is such an all-fired lousy councilmember (probably true), why don't you come out of the cowardly f---ing woodwork and run against him, like a man?

Because you couldn't do any better?
(Yup, you betcha!)

For all the whining about our crappy representation -- especially on the eastside, the only people that ever stick their necks and reputations out to challenge them, even symbolically, are nutcases, conmen, and career bureaucrats with even smaller intellects than the current crop.

(Snot has a tiny intellect, but I doubt he's a career bureacrat. If he was he'd sound more intelligent because of knowing more about what he whines about).

ASSOCIATED PRESS

"Obama to sign order shutting Gitmo in a year

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama plans to sign an executive order Thursday to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center within a year and halt military trials of terror suspects held there, a senior administration official said. The executive order was one of three expected imminently on how to interrogate and prosecute al-Qaida, Taliban or other foreign fighters believed to threaten the United States.

The official said the president would sign the order Thursday, fulfilling his campaign promise to shut down a facility that critics around the world say violates domestic and international detainee rights. The aide spoke on condition of anonymity because the event has not yet been announced."

Sorry to burst your bubble 4:52 but Higby is absolutely right they won't close Gitmo anytime soon.

It is simple for Obama to make the noise now following the punch drunkenness of the Inauguration and certainly to keep the Daily Kossacks, Move On.org folks, etc. happy. Which is exactly why he said it will take a year by then it won't matter.

As CNN reports:

The Pentagon has been reviewing the possibility of sending detainees who are not released or sent back to their home countries to Camp Pendleton in California; the Navy brig at Charleston, South Carolina; and Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.

There has been significant opposition from members of Congress in these states to such a plan.

For sure Congress won't go for it.

9:43am Already posting his hate for anyone who has an opinion against Huizar who is one of the most corrupt politicans in the city next to Alarcon. They call anyone who challenges Huizar "nutcases." This shows the immaturity level of Huizar staffers and people he surrounds himself with. Didn't someone post he has lost over 18 staff members in the short time he's been in office? Were they all nutcases?

January 22, 2009 6:58 AM

Somebody should put a list out of all the staffers that have jumped ship from Huizar's staff. It would be interesting to see the results.
