BREAKING NEWS: It's Official! Zuma Dogg Qualifies for the Ballot

Zuma Dogg has announced that he has officially qualified to have his name placed as a candidate for Mayor on the March 2009 ballot following a review of his petition signatures by the City Clerk. Zuma reports that he got his 1000th signature sometime last night.

You may laugh at or make fun of Zuma Dogg - but I give him credit. He went out and got every last signature himself - no sycophants, no paid signature gatherers, no shady non-profit workers. Talk about Charlie Hustle!

Congratulations, Zuma!

Aw Yeah! Thanks for the post, Mayor Sam!

Let's have some fun and raise awareness of what a shady, corrupt, community-wrecking a-hole Viagraosa has turned out to be.

There may be only one thousand of us now, but by January,Zuma will have at least 5K of us. Every day and every way Zuma and those that want to recapture this city will have more and more people who dont want Antonio Villariagosa as Mayor.

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with flourish):

Today is the day Zuma lad began the official storming of the Bastille. (Grins broadly while crew applauds) Well then, let’s make the most of it, shall we? All of you who wish to sail with Zuma lad, signify by saying “Aye!”

We can put together a list of persons unknown at the moment who need to be shown the plank, starting with His Nibbs. All of you who wish to send His Nibbs to the plan signify by saying “savvy?” at the end of a paragraph, savvy?

(Hears woman yelling and turns around quickly; looks shocked) Oh bugger, it’s Mrs. Keffelbaum seeking some dubloons for Zuma lad. (Waves at Mrs. Keffelbaum) Yes, Mrs. Kefflebaum, I will oblige (gives Zuma a few quid).

Oh bugger. (looks over shoulder) Here comes Sir Walter to ask me for some quid. Shall I ask Sir Walter how many of his quids sailed the seven seas or wandered the plains before being dropped in his chest? Nay, I'll leave that to the Lord Mayor.

Zuma Dogg knows people all over the city. It would not be crazy to think he could assemble a fairly decent grass roots coalition.

Huge effort to outpace the Mayor but its not out of the realm of possibility that Zuma could outpoll Walter Moore.

You people have completely lost your minds.

There is no WAY in hell David "Zuma Dogg" Elliott will be elected mayor.

I seriously doubt that his signatures have actually qualified.

And shame on Higby for exploiting this homeless clown and leading him to think he is something he is not.

You can not believe that rational minded people in Los Angeles would vote for a smelly, ignorant, homeless attention whore like Dave Elliott.

Although my vote is for Antonio Villaraigosa. I still think Zuma has a huge chance. The more people like the last poster talks about him in such a manner the more people will rally around him.

Antonio Villaraigosa will be re-elected in March in a landslide vote.

Is there really anyone here who honestly thinks the smelly fool has a chance to win this election? I mean, c'mon guys, this is a guy who thought Jack Weiss, the next City Attorney was actually going to be recalled.

One of the problems with foolish activists who know little of what makes politics work in LA is that they all talk to each other and really think they know something.

Sure, there will be a "protest" vote against The Mayor, but he will draw over 60%, maybe even 70% against nine or ten guys named "Joe" in March.

And your hero, the fool of Malibu/Zuma/CD 0 will have scammed a few bucks out of his "campaign contributions" so that he has some gas for his smelly van, a little food, and lots of coffee at Starbucks.

And, I agree with the 11:21 poster, shame on you Higby for fueling the fool's psyche; when he kills himself, you'll know it was your fault.

Clowncil wants to cut public access because of the way Zuma goes off on all the bafoons and idiots around the horse shoe. Zuma should continue telling everyone what a bunch of corrupt, leaderless, non ethical, jerks council members are and how they have taken a major city like Los Angeles down the toliet because of their support for illegals. I'm afraid for Zuma because Ace Smith, Villaraigosa's hatchet man will go after you big time so watch your back. 1,000 people now a hell of a lot more come 09.

Phil K., You wanna do battle. I will F*CK your candidate you SO BAD, he will have to leave the state in disgrace. You didn't get to know me Trujilio, yet. Now that I am on the ballot, I can REALLY fuck up Villaragiosa, and I know just the buttons to hit. So Phil, go ahead and get me pissed off, and I'll be saying, "Mirthala Salinas" and how Antonio betrayed his supporters like Riorden AND his family. What Antonio's unzipped zipper must have done to his kids...

LETS GET STARTED!!!

IF YOU PISS ME OFF, YOU'LL HAVE TO SEND THE THUGS OUT TO GET ME, CAUSE I'LL BE ALL OVER SAYING THE THINGS YOU WARNED ME ABOUT.

IT'S TIME TO TAKE BACK THE CITY FROM A REPORTER-SCREWING, FAMILY WRECKING, COMMUNITY ROBBING, NATIONAL EXTREMIST!

And wait until the inditments start to fall. Antonio probably won't make it to the election anyway.

HEY PHIL!

GOOD MORNING. MY NAME IS ZUMA DOGG...AND YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT WHAT I AM REALLY ABOUT TO DO TO YOUR BOSS IF YOU MISREPRESENT ONE LITTLE DETAIL.

For example, "I seriously doubt that his signatures have actually qualified." (Did the dummy who made this comment even check the city website. Are you so dumb that you think I would say I qualified when I didn't?"

Meanwhile, if Trujillo and that sissy-bitch Ace Smith (who I bitch slapped his FAKE blog into "private" status) want to piss me off...

THEY HAVE EVERYTHING TO LOSE! I DON'T! READ SOME STRATEGY YOU DUMB ASS.

Look how far all of this has come. Most of it, because Ace Smith, Mike "My Mom Works For ZEV" Trujillo and Jimmy Loserman are inferior to BZD.

And I'm gonna jam it like they've never seen.

HEY ANTONIO...YOU BETTER GET A GRIP ON YOUR POSSEE BEFORE YOU'RE HEARING ABOUT IT ON TV 35, AGAIN.

Something to consider: With no large name opponent to the Mayor and just following the Presidential election this race will be so not on the radar and turnout will be low.

What happens when the bulk of the turn-out are the NC, HOA, SLAP type folks who are tired of the Mayor, the Council, etc. and decide to vote for either Walter or Zuma? There is a scenario where the Mayor gets less than 50% and we go to a run-off.

IF by some chance Zuma got into a runoff with the Mayor there would be media coverage like you've never seen for a local race. I am not saying that the Mayor would lose because I expect the Broads, the Riordans, unions, et al will do everything possible to save him however it will be quite entertaining.

If I have to waste a vote I would rather waste it with Zuma than anyone from the Mexican Mafia. It is amazing that Zuma is not afraid to fight back. By the way Zuma, thank you for selecting CD14, the home of the Mexican Mafia, to be your political home. Go Zuma!!

You guys are seriously in need of therapy.

The Villaraigosa recall, the Weiss recall, other ill fated adventures of Mayor Sam, Zuma Puppet and Walter are fun for you all to fantacize about, but the chances of Antonio getting less than 50% in the primary are non-existant. He would literally have to be caught with a dead girl or a live boy on tape, and he'd still poll over 50%.

There is a little difference between Zev or Rick on one hand, and Walter and Puppet Zuma on the other.

This "race", as has been stated by many, is OVER.

Move on, Higby to City Attorney and Controller, where you can get some ink.

I expect...the Riordans will do everything possible to save him.

ARE YOU CRAZY? You think Riordan supports Antonio at this point? You must not talk to people who know Richard personally, because if you did, you would know that he turned south on Antonio over the Mirthala incident (incidents) and the whole breaking up of the family affair. AND, Dick's support for Doucheariagosa has only gone downhill as the mayor's performance has. He's totally embarassed by Anotonio. That basically sums it up..."embarassed" by that Mickey Mouse mascot of a loser-inept, greedy community-wrecker.

And the more I see his spin-losers around here, the more I will use every media opportunity to include the Mirthala affair and family break-up as a reason to dump this ass-clown of a mayor who will most likely be indided before this is all over. WANNA BET!

The Dogg's latest rant only proves once again what a psycho he is, how unfit to serve as a waiter or dog walker, let alone in elected office.

And now that's he's on the ballot, it's illegal for him to use our taxpayer funded Ch. 35 to "campaign" and attack other candidates. Not that anyone but a few nutcases are listening, and most of the ones who signed his petition did it for a goof and have no intention of voting for this fool anyway. He's just the Court Jester who won't go away.

Let the simple minds that are amused and/or egged on by the stale bread and run-down circus likes of Zuma Beeyotch play with themselves for the next 3-4 months and waste what little political voice or muscle they have.

With no viable candidate to really oppose him (and DON'T even get me started on WACKO WALTER!), AV can "rose garden" away his campaign period and won't need to get seriously into raising money to move into the ranks of the termed-out, lame-duckers in L.A. politics starting next summer.

And, for his second term, he won't be anywhere near as beholden to the big-ticket contributors as he had to become in the first, in order to oust an incumbent. And maybe, just maybe, he can actually spend one day a week after that on REAL city issues, rather than even more time paying back those "debts" to the city's rich with favors and quid pro quoses.

That's HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of dollars he won't have to raise in campaign funds, and HUNDREDS of hours less lying campaign commercials clogging up primetime - telling us of his non-existent accomplishments, and skirting the fact that, unlike 4 years ago, he's not a warm and cuddle "Family Man" -- not the mention the THOUSANDS of puff-piece slick mailers that won't see the dark the city's mailboxes.

Under the circumstances, stuck with a do-nothing but popular mayor for an inevitable second term during a nasty recession. . . things COULD be a lot worse.

(Then again, next July 1, he DOES start his 4-year campaign for the job after that).

The only thing Zuma Saltzburg (not even Elliott, even his real name is a fake name) is certifiable for, is the loony bin.

As for his delusions that Riordan's bent out of shape about Mirthala still, Zuma Mutt's been hanging out with too many angry Latinas over there in Boyle Hts or wherever he's parking his muttmobile these days.

Riordan's own short-lived marriage to Nancy Daly (a 2nd or 3rd for both of them) recently broke up, because Riordan had not one but two mistresses on the side. So like he cares about anything other than who can get the job done. And that sure won't be Madd Dogg or Wacky Whiny Walter piggybacking on the murdered teen and seen as a racist by a lot of people. Walter is so stupid about other issues, he's even publicly sided with the billboard companies and Rocky on that issue. As for Madd Dogg's campaign, it will only force even those who dislike Antonio to vote for him, in case there IS such voter apathy that a certifiable crazy gets into a run-off.
