Democrats Ignore American Citizens!
Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), held their seventh annual Radio-Row, "Hold their feet to the fire", event in Washington, D.C., September 10th and September 11th. Over 45 Radio Hosts broadcasted live at the event. Including CNN Lou Dobbs.
During the two days in Washington, D.C., Twenty-One Radio Hosts booked interviews with Jamiel and Anita. All of the hosts wanted to talk about Jamiel's Law and the murder of Jas. Several of the shows had callers call in and share their views regarding illegal alien gangbangers.
Jamiel Sr., was one of the speakers at the press conference that was held on the front lawn at Capitol Hill on September 10th. Sgt. Anita Shaw, spoke at the Forum on Capitol Hill, along with four other families.
The Republican Members of the House Judiciary Sub-committee on Immigration, held a forum on September 11th. The forum was originally scheduled to be a hearing. According to Steve King, (US House of Representative), the democrats objected to hearing testimony on illegal alien criminals and voted against holding a hearing.
Nancy Pelosi used her power to cancel the official hearing. However, she was not able to cancel the, "unofficial forum". The Democrats were not interested in hearing what the American citizens had to say!
Not one democrat attended the forum. Not one democrat took the time to listen to five American families share their brief stories about illegal alien criminals in the United States. Nor did they hear the success stories of 287G.
Whatever happened to, "... for the People"?

The refusal to hold the hearing is absolutely shameful.
It's one thing to disagree about policy.
It's another to refuse even to allow testimony on the subject -- especially testimony from people who traveled across the country, and whose son was murdered.
This country is doomed unless average citizens start paying attention and taking action.
Oh wow! Great, great job Jamiel and Althea!!! That is SOME achievement!
That really took it to the next level of national awareness. And I know all of it is because you guys are just the best speakers out there.
What an experience! So once again, it's just starting, rather than ending due to the spirit and quality of the Shaw family.
I wonder what the Obama campaign thinks of Nancy Pelosi and Democratic leaders refusing to meet with an African American family in Washington, D.C.
You may not agree with Jamiel's Law but for Christ sake you're an elected representative and have an obligation to hear them out.
Oh, I just re-read, Anita was there, too! And again, I know as activists you are outraged by the "Democrats Ignore American Citizens" aspect.
But as someone who saw the Shaw Family walk into City Hall for the first time about six months ago...to now being in Washington, delivering speeches and being on radio stations all across the country raising awareness of these issues...
THAT IS NOTHING BUT A MAJOR VICTORY. It's not like the Shaw Family has a Clear Channel billboard campaign, radio spots, newspaper ads or a Latham & Watkins/Eli Broad backed ad budget behind them.
IT'S ALL THEM, BABY! Just three folks from the streets of the community. And they wear T-shirts, not fancy suits. (LOL!)
Not only do we have steeet gang members who are here illegally, we even have mexican drug cartels moving in the U.S. Below is a story about drug cartel violence in Arizona and a web-site about mexico's drug war and impact on the U.S. Anybody who does a little reading about El Paso and Cuidad Juarez crimes knows how the police in El Paso, Texas are always asking for federal help for crimes committed by mexican drig cartels.

Our egocentric politicians have sold their souls to the devil for the sake of having a title. Those who have sworn to uphold the Constitution and protect the interests of AMERICAN CITIZENS have totally deserted us in their selfish quest and ignored the laws of this country whenever they do not serve them well.
Anonymous is right, this state is run by Hispanics and if the Shaws were Hispanic they would be treated much differently. Too many of these people in office and running for office want illegals here so they can illegally get their votes,because they do vote. So they pamper them and pretty much let them do whatever they want and then protect them.
We desperatley need some people in office that have the balls to do the right thing by American citizens before it is too late.

3:29- o.k., I see you don't like the "white guy" on the issue of illegal alien gangmembers being turned over to ICE, and then I see you don't know about his concern for "africans".
but do YOU CARE about "africans"- which I think you meant to write as "African-Americans", unless you never gave much thought to their identification term since you might have been using something else.
So it might be that YOU don't care to change things. I didn't see any counter proposal or different idea on any action to take, other than "Give it up already." That's not getting the situation improved.
It's pretty obvious that the current local politicians and most of the federal ones are not interested in change. The remedy then has to include replacing them. How? By putting in opponents for us to vote for. Too often no one even tries and the incumbents run unopposed.
Another level of problem is that the carved-out boundaries of political districts are supposed to insure that one party will consistently win, rather than to have any real contest for an office. That is in need of change to stop the treatment of these offices as if they were property passing to the next occupant as plainly as it it was personal property being passed along in a will.
Allowing the status quo to continue and wait for some eventual change to just happen is not the way to correct the problems.
