Take Back Los Angeles!

Ron Kaye has a plan, and it just might be the start of something big.

"If you're fed up with the failure of the schools and city government to serve your needs and make L.A. a great city, join the movement for change. Bastille Day, July 14, celebrates the start of the French Revolution. Let this demonstration be the start of the Los Angeles Revolution, the day the people took power over the politicians."Ron Kaye, as many of you know, is the former editor of The Daily News who has now turned his focus to community activism. He is highly regarded by us at the Mayor Sam blog, and by many throughout the City. This "Take Back Los Angeles" event is an opportunity for all of us, including the keyboard warriors, to get off our duffs and actually bring our grievances right to the steps of City Hall! Will it make a difference? It will if you show up.Ron also needs some help putting this together, so if you have a little time to give, contact him at ron@ronkayela.com

I support Ron...and plan to be there. Time, please?

Is there an agenda planned, or are we just going to mull around the south lawn? We need to get organized!

I don't want to incite a riot, but I want to bring posters with a message:

"GET MEXICO OUT OF CITY HALL AND OUT OF OUR CITY! THIS IS AMERICA! WE SPEAK ENGLISH!

or

FIRE THE MEXICANS IN CITY COUNCIL AND HIRE AMERICANS!

or

VILLAR...MEXICO NEEDS YOU! PLEASE LEAVE AND TAKE THE ILLEGALS WITH YOU!

if the illegals can march in our streets with "This is OUR land; Gringos go home" posters...we should be able to do the same....right? Right!

Ron Kaye is an idiot. Why do you think he was let go by the Daily News?

You people amaze me. You're in a fantasyland led to the brink by Higby, Smelly Dave Elliott and Wacko Walter who are playing you for fools! (and laughing all the way to the bank with ads by Universal Studios).

Antonio will be Mayor again. Then he will be governor. Noone will run against him (for Mayor at least).

Is that Peter Noone our friend above is speaking of running against the troll? I think an ex-Monkee might do well against a bonafied Monkey. At any rate it would be a good show. I'd pay to see it. So come on up Peter Noone. Your public needs you! And bring along Mickey Dolenz and the other Monkees to vie for Council seats.

He and his won't need the whole lawn. Just a little patch they can call their own. Someone bring a couple yards of twine and rope it off so the camera crews can make it look BIGGER.

Remember the MASSIVE anti-Prop R strategy meetings, held in that large family booth at the Chinese restaurant near the neighborhood department offices?

And more recently, the 200 or so person "rally" for Wacko Walter in the Valley.

More of the same, different demagogue. People have things to do in L.A., most of them much more critical to their survival than following the next demi-Jesus who's going to save our city's collective "soul" by preaching his own gospel for "reform" (which reads: "In the new beginning, let ME run things".

It's true: the white people in Brentwood, Pali and Studio City are all dyed-in-the wool liberals who have made a deal with Antonio: put a fence around our area so we can drink lattes, bitch about Bush and marry gays and we'll fund you turning the rest of the city over to Mexico. Just leave us alone and only send Mexicans to our kitchens and backyards okay?

Can I get a copy of the memo, too? Is that why a gay latte leftie like Rosendahl is so hot for Antonio? Oh, do dish, dude, we won't tell anyone.

Like they say if they are posting all this negative crap they must be worried a lot of people not just a small group will go. I must have gotten at least 5 e-mails from all over the city. Everyone is taking the day off for Ron Kaye and blast e-mailing to friends.

Noone is taking off a day for Ron Kaye.

There will be about 20 white people all over 60 there in polyester pants and wearing John Deere hats.

Just like Walter Moore's rally about 40 people there all white not one black or brown person near any of those racists.

People don't care. Antonio wins. No one will be at your silly Bacille Day you crackers.

The "third floor" know nothing about you, cna cares less. Don't be so stinking arrogant as to believe this little slide if illiteracy and terminal political fantasyland matters outside of the URL it consumes.

It's just US! The same realists that keep telling you handful of gadfleas that you're wasting your time backing lightweights and picking fights about issues that 99 percent of L.A. doesn't give a shiny toenail for.

AND, we keep being right!

Hell, if the MAYOR'S STAFF was RIGHT as often as WE are in putting down the empty-headed blog posters here, this city would be Paradise.

(Plus MOST of Tony V's in-house toadies aren't literate enough themselves to figure out that Red Snot is about 1o years of LAUSD shy of a GED).

If you had taken an extra 30 seconds to do a Google search, you would have found out that Peter Noone was not with the Monkees, but Herman's Hermits. But why should being accurate stop you from posting on MS?

I was at City Hall today and I heard Zuma Dogg outside walking with someone saying that Jimmy Blackmon is an out of power loser. Is that true? I know everyone around him cringes at the sight of him. But an off putting aura isn't everything. I don't care if I don't advance in my career. I would never sleep with him.

They're not racists, but they do speak a lot about the costs of illegal immigration on that blog. Seem like a lot of older, retired people on fixed incomes, many from the Valley, but also the longtime homeowners on the westside who feel they're being squeezed out of their suburban lifestyles by the sudden influx of traffic and immigrants.

A Daily News article yesterday on how illegal immigration is impacting towns that have had shrinking birth rates and populations confirms their fears and those of others: "experts" from liberal universities confirm that this influx of mostly uneducated poor people who don't even know English fluently, are not providing the skills and tax base to offset population decline.

Instead, they're taking away money that was going to be used for their retirement, in the form of elderly services, community centers, home care providers paid for by MediCare and MediCare coverage in general.

All of a sudden, their hospitals have to gear up for births and free prenatal care, instead of geriatric care; for building schools, instead of elder-care facilities and social centers; for gang programs instead of outings for senior citizens.

Look at L A, and you'll see this is true in spades here.

"Whatever problems these communities are having, will not be fixed by illegal immigration," the study concluded. Indeed.

Ron Kaye's people are not "evil" or racist, just sad and frightened.

Hey 2:46, guess what. "I" am the one who wrote that it seemed to be turning into an anti-illegal immigration rally and if it did, I wouldn't go. Therefore, that makes "me" one of Ron Kaye's "people". That's cool. I am a Democrat who admits to idolizing Ron Kaye. But I do resent being lumped into the polyester-wearing, John Deere hat-wearing, old, white person from the valley. We have our liberals here. We also have people right here in the valley who don't hate foreigners. Yep - believe it. We're out here and neither "sad" nor "frightened" are words that anyone would use to describe me.
