Jamiel's Law Update

We are still waiting for Jamiel's Law Petition to return from the City Clerk's Office. As you may already know, we will have 120 days to get 76,000 Los Angeles Resident signatures. Just to be safe we will get 100,000 signatures. Hopefully the Petition will be back next week. If you want to help gather signatures or if you have questions, email us at www.Jamielslaw@live.com.

Today we met with Council Member Zine. He's the Council Member for the 3rd District in Los Angeles, CA. Zine said, "I support Jamiel's Law". He said he will sign the Petition to get Jamiel's Law on the March 3, 2009 election and he will also help get signatures. We do need to further our discussion with Zine and his staff about introducing Jamiel's Law as an agenda item. Nevertheless, once Jamiel's Law is on the ballot, Zine will also write up a Resolution saying that he supports this Law. According to Zine's staff, the people in their district strongly support Jamiel's Law.

Zine explained that his Motion "just" opens the door for Special Order 40 and Jamiel's Law to be talked about by the Council Members. His motion does specifically go after illegal alien gangbangers before and after they commit a crime. Jamiel's Law and Zine's Motion can be on the books at the same time. We support them both!

Zine's Motion is currently being held up in the Public Safety Committee by Council Member Weiss. Please join us on a Phone Campaign to Council Member Weiss! We need to call Council Member Weiss and tell him to, "Move Zine's Motion Forward". The telephone number for Weiss is 213.473.7005. It's passed time to address Special Order 40. Please help us by calling Council Member Weiss!!

If you believe that Zine will support Jamiel's Law, please call him at 213.473.7003 and thank him for supporting Jamiel's Law and for finally taking a stand against Special Order 40! We also thank Council Member Zine for taking a stand against illegal alien gangbangers! Be sure to let Zine know that you will be looking for him to openly support Jamiel's Law!

We truly miss Jas and we will never stop fighting to get Jamiel's Law passed! Please fight with us!!!

Thank you all for your help!

Jamiel Sr.

I truly feel for your loss -- as a parent, can't imagine what it's like to lose a child.

But with all due respect, based on your misperception of what the DA's office told you about their proposed handling of the case (Michelle Hanisee's case), just because it didn't coincide with your own desire to call it a "hate" crime vs. "gang" crime, I'm not placing any bets on what you're understanding Zine's comments to be. And, Zine's so out of touch with the law and Bratton's LAPD, like on the fact that his paparazzi motion has no basis in law and is all a PR stunt, I can't trust Zine.

After many years on the beat, Zine never got past Sgt. But like Bernie Parks, wants to keep telling Bratton how to do his job better.

Special Order 40 is a perfect
example of how Los Angeles, a
textbook definition of an
Outlaw/Criminal Sanctuary City has sunk to Third World criminality!
Thank You to our gangbanger Mayor
and Anchor Baby Council.
We have 9000 Police officers and
40,000+ Gang members!
There were MORE killings in L.A.
over the weekend than in Tijuana!

No one can be in favor of illegal gangmembers or any gangmembers -- but the problem with this bill is, it's attracting some people who attach all kinds of other emotions and ignorant opinions to it.

Like the gentleman who spoke today in public comment, and added a number of other issues he was misinformed about or just angry about.

I see that we have here another allegation that our mayor is an ex gang member. Not that I doubt that, but is there any proof that he was ever a gang member? And if so, could someone point it out to me?
