If you're wondering about Stephanie Edwards: No.
Two-thousand-six in the rain was her last year working the Rose Parade for KTLA. Dour Bob and Bubbly Michaela will be working the Rose Parade for KTLA next Tuesday. No more Steph on New Year's no more. Life just hasn't been the same for any of us since Lucky's became Albertson's anyway. It's small consolation to be able to watch Cal Poly building its float at the station's website.
And why hasn't the DooDah Parade registered yet? Because this year, it's on January 20. Please recommend to the non-authorities that Zuma Dogg be Grand Marshal. Maybe he's not available or willing, but to me it seems a natural.
BTW, this year the DooDah parade disorganizers promise that all the participants must submit to drug tests, and must test positive.
Speaking of doo dahs on parade, a few of you wondered who this guy Jonathan, who I photographed standing by his trusty Kawasaki in front of Jan's on Beverly, was. It's Jonathan Shaw, counterculture writer / schlock-artist / metaphysician. His myspace page is here. No doubt he's male, but I really doubt he's been 20 for a while.

The Doo-Dah parade should be between Thanksgiving and the THIRD OR FORTH week of December. After that date WHO CARES?

its crazy to think all of a sudden Hollywood stopped 'spittin' em out'
after all, that same TV station had a silly competition and picked themselves a real hottie.
Stephanie's appeal was limited, and as Mayor Sam points out, a free market will correctly evaluate and adjust any situation.
this time it did.

I havent watched the parade since Stephanie was replaced. Michalea may be a hottie, but lacks personality. Her hotti credentials wont last until she is over 60; then what has she got beside being a fat old mamma.
Rumor has it that Northeast LA ex-friends and ex-neighbors of AV are planning a biting Doo-Dah Parade entry to remind voters that not only has AV been unable to keep commitments to his own marriage and family, he also has recklessly refused to keep promises to his friends and early supporters. The Northeast is determined to stamp out the monster it created by supporting AV when empty promises dropped from his mouth every two minutes. The message: If the Mayor cannot keep promises to his own wife, family AND friends and neighbors, what make you think he will keep any promise made in his power hungry quest for the Governor's seat? The Mayor is reaping the seeds of discontent he has sown by failing to deliver on the promises to his friends he could easily choose to keep.
Bubbly Michaela acts like an idiot around the mayor. NO doubt she is nothing more then a shameful groupie. Can't believe KTLA would allow a woman as big as loud as she is on air. She also dresses like a troll and she makes a ton of money.
