Bradley's Back!

And he's at it again, refusing to answer stakeholder questions about an alleged conflict of interest. Bradley better hope he's telling the truth cause if not he will eventually wind up in deep doo-doo, just like the Mayor, Bill Clinton, Tom DeLay, etc.

Anyway Bradley says that if you don't like him not answering questions, you can file a grievance. Feel free blog readers to file as many grievances as you can to gpnc41@sbcglobal.net.

Bradley needs to get booted from the NC system like Jim Alger was after the Do-It Scandal.

The questioner is becoming her own worst enemy. It's too bad that she feels the need to pelt the chair with redundant questions and then demands answers when she has already filed a complaint at another, higher level. Not cool.

It is a waste of the public's time for a duly elected board to continually revisit the same questions at the same level and Bradley, even tho he is an uninformed and pretty horrible chair, happens to be right on this issue. Through her redundant behavior, the lady behind the camera has unwittingly turned this into a personality clash which can only undermine her effectiveness on the real issue.

Best to videotape the grievance process at this point as that is where the battle lies. Diminishing returns with videotaping Bradley and posting it on YouTube.

Ok Mayor Sam what's with the personal attacks on Bradley? HE's a volunteer as most neighborhood council reps. I think it highly unfair that you've repeatedly attacked him and put up threads here on him and no one else. Put up a thread on one of the corrupt council people and their staff our tax dollars are paying for. Bad judgement Sam.

So if they filed a grievance suddenly Bradley would discuss his QUESTIONABLE practices of voting on items as a board member when he has a personal interest in the matter? From what I see/hear in this video the person asking the questions is not being a nuiscance, only Bradley fits that bill.

Mayor Sam is not attacking Bradley personally. Did he say Bradley was gay? people do not like how Bradley runs things.

This Bradley person has only one name? Is his other name (? Bradley or Bradley ?) strange ether way.
This guy gets 50k per year of NC money too.

I agree with Jack Hoff here.
I appreciated the first couple of "gotcha" videos, especially showing Bradley being ignorant of the Brown Act, and another that shows Bradley arguably attempting to intimidate a constituent.
But at this point, the videographer is losing empathy, and my interest... she needs to dig in and show us more evidence or file the grievance and let us see the result.

Jack Hoff: The woman is actually in the right. If you look at the videos posted on YouTube (specifically this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8Rp_aSZyr0 - about 7:18 into it, you see the paperwork blatantly showing Bradley's conflict of interest. Developer Bradley worked on this sign project and then VOTED on it. Without disclosing the conflict of interest, which he was asked about numerous times.

Mayor Sam is right to keep on this. Bradley and his ilk are corrupt and GPNC is the epitome of how dysfunctional the NC system is.

And, I hope this video lady keeps it up. Bradley's behavior and that of his cronies are outrageous.

In this latest video Bradley is clearly ignorant of the Brown Act, he cannot toss someone out of a meeting for asking questions. How the hell does he keep getting away with this? He should be removed by fellow board members.

12:24, I hear you. I've watched the videos more than a few times. Cameralady WAS absolutely right in those first videos, but in order to enforce the rules, she needs to play by the rules. By continuing her redundancy (same questions every month, continual confrontation, YouTube broadcasts), she is steadily making a case for Bradley and the board to dismiss her out of hand as a disruptive crank with a personal vendetta.

What is also obvious from all the videos is that Cameralady herself is not familiar with the Brown Act or Robert's Rules of Order.

While Bradley has no concept of how to run a meeting, neither does Cameralady. Instead of wrapping him and the board around her finger with protocol (it's possible, folks...), she ends up at his mercy; making repetitive, unreasonable demands for answers when in reality she should do the research, then focus on redress at a higher level.

Cameralady needs to pack up her gear and bring it to the higher ranking governing bodies before she unwittingly turns Bradley into an NC martyr.

The Council today discussed having it's IT dept. tape live some N C meetings, and make them available on the internet. Costs were questioned but seems to me, that in cases like this, might be benefit to having a third-party tape this to shed light.
No doubt many N Cs operating shady.

And mine in a wealthy area suffers from opposite problem: no one cares enough to show up except the Board, some of whom are oddballs and obsessive-compulsives, who get away with anything in the dark.

It's too easy for even just a couple of people or one strong one like this Bradley to manipulate an NC and control is funds and agenda.

You make some very valid points about Cameralady, Jack. However, please understand her level of frustration.

No one on this board serves as a dissenting voice. They are all beholden to Bradley and the GPNC board are all his Yes Men and Women. No one on the board questions Bradley on anything.

And, DONE is a complete waste of space. Greivances and complaints have been filed on numerous violations, including voting irregularities, false stakeholder status and conflicts of interest. Nothing happens.

The Clowncil offices of CD1, 13 and 14 have been informed about these abuses. Nothing happens.

The City Attorney has been informed about these abuses. You guessed it, nothing happens.

And, that is why Bradley is able to get away with this and a very frustrated Cameralady keeps asking the same questions over and over again.

Got it, 6:55, and I do not dispute the level of frustration whatsoever. You have my sympathy.

Every NC district has kooks. Sometimes the kooks are on the board and sometimes the kooks are in the audience. But every community will always have a percentage of kooks to deal with.

Hey, the Mayor Sam community has Zuma Dogg...

The reason you're not getting any traction with the neighborhood prosecutors is that they deal with kooks all the time and Bradley is neither a high level kook, nor is he violent. DONE has so many problems to sort through, Bradley could be on the radar screen (those early videos are embarassing), but again he's not a big enough blip.

You can still take your tapes, hold your own community meeting and petition to de-certify the NC or you can keep the heat on, continue to videotape the NC meetings, familiarize yourselves with the NC bylaws, the Brown Act and Robert's Rules of Order and when election time comes, fill every available seat with your own folks and run riot over those left who can barely tie their shoes without Bradley.

It is very difficult to find a bureaucrat soft-headed enough to get in the middle of the Bradley issue (you understand there is no "win" to be had), but there are still plenty of options available if you're willing to be patient and keep the heat on without making it appear personal.

Good luck to you.

Bradley’s unethical conduct is one more major reason why we can not allow the city to try and bamboozle us into relaxing the Brown Act for the Neighborhood Councils.

The city is trying to pretend to make up a new Sunshine Law that would in effect reduce the public protection for open government by stating that the Neighborhood Councils need more flexibility in running their meetings.

This nothing more than an attempt to increase the Rubber Stamping from City Council Backed Neighborhood Boards of Directors to give their conflict of interest approval of City Council Projects.

Increased responsibilities such as Land Use Issues require increased stakeholder input rather than less.

My N C Board Pres and V P always only criticize the city and CM, so if there are N C's which are run by the city and it's to those CM's benefit that they be "closed," the opposite is also true, and without oversight and the DONE lady turning up, some like mine would do what they openly say the want: to cut out the CM and function as a little fiefdom all on their own.

That would be scary, to be "run" by a bunch of mostly old, retired people with a sense of entitlement because the city has changed while they slept.

As for the Bradley/Camera Lady:

the only person crazy enough to put some order into the situation by screaming and blaming both of them, is: DA DA, ZUMA DOGG TO THE RESCUE!!! He'll fly in with his messy cap and sunglasses and strike fear in the hearts of Bradley and Cameralady! Problem solved.

(Can someone get the guy a t-shirt with a big red Z D on it, so that when he flames into City Council, everyone will know he's there to "save and rescue," not really to be obnoxious, as it may seem.)

This is how DONE takes care of the problem. Rose Ibanez, Project Coordinator has been reassigned to the Harbor Area. I wonder who the next do nothing coordinator will be?
