Why was City Hall green tonight?

My first thought was, "well, okay, they're virtually swimming in our money, and now they've decided to rub it in our faces."

Seriously though—anyone out there know?

Mayor Villaraigosa's number one priority is protecting our environment.

After, that is, a) furthering his own political career, b) disseminating his sperm into as many uteruses as possible, c) remaking Los Angeles in the image of Mexico City.

How much did "green lights" cost me?

7:00 a.m. I was thinking the same thing. Buying new filters, gels or bulbs is not "green." It'd be like celebrating Vegan day with a beef barbque.

7:39, I once saw a flyer for a Humane Society barbeque. No joke.

Humane Societies just care for lost or unwanted pets. They aren't always Vegans or Vegetarians. Still, not very PC

Mayor Antonio wants a green city but doesn't care about a noisy city. Why doesn't he enforce peace and quiet in our neighborhoods?

I bet where he lives he gets peace and quiet. Doesn't he think everyone else in the city deserves it too? How about Ed Reyes? He refuses to change the noise law. I guess they are both in the same boat. They only care about themselves and not their neighbors.

Isn't it amazing how "global" our governor and the LA mayor want to be? Guess it beats doing your job properly and taking care of business at home! Better to get self agrandizing photo ops for bogus PC bullshit that the lemmings love!

Green? Thought maybe it was because he thought he was in Oz and thinks of himself the "man behind the curtain" (the little man trying to appear as a giant wizard), or maybe it was a reflection of the fetid putrefaction within since green is frequently the color of disease and infection...

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!! Don't you know that mexicans LOVE noise! They can't exist without noise! Loud, pounding "music" all day and all night, gunfire, screaming kids running amok everywhere, you name it! Of course they don't want to outlaw excessive noise!

From the looks of this shot of his house, I'd say he probably does.
